and another thing, has the phase 3 village quest messed up the spawn rates for ns because of the bases and random sith spawning? it seems to me that it has on my server anyways. i had a really hard time finding any spawn of ns were i would normaly findquit a few.

Not that I've noticed - some nights you find them nonstop, others can't find any. I usually just head towards the stronghold and then meander towards the prison. They're all through the area, just have to examine red dots. If you have melee skills, don't just focus on elders - I'm a chef because of a kind protector that decided to give up a +12 chef exp tape, but remember that rifles don't have the correct damage types for protectors, spell weaves, and stalkers.

for elders you use a T21.
I think you're thinking of spell-weavers and enforcers(??) - those ones don't have vulnerabilities to any rifles..last i checked.

I think so. Either that or the trickle of "fixes" they have been implementing.
Walked to the stronghold, did not see one red or yellow dot on my map. Walked around the stronghold, then to the prison. Only when I got to the prison did I see any enemies.
TH mentioned the other day that it has to do with the amount of people on a planet at a given time.
I guess since they decided to put the village on one of the last great hunting planets, all the people there grinding and doing the FS thing, has screwed up the normal spawns.

I posted on another thread about my experiences with the elder sista's. I have new experiences with the all mighty elders that taught me alot to help improve my rifle skills against them.
I went eldering the other day and soloed 5 elders. The time ranged from 13 minutes to 21 minutes. Not one time did any of them pop a bleed and only once did I get chased and that was because someone drove up to it on their swoop and I peaced out and by the time I could stand up she was on me. Believe this one or not....LOL.....doesnt matter either way, I went toe to toe with her and actually finished the job this way.
I was able to accomplish this because I had read on another thread that instead of dmg pups you should try speed pups. I thought to myself, eeeeeeeeee ummmmmm, why not, cant hurt anything.
I did not notice the dmg decreasing from my previous encounters with them and my speed pups enabled the job to go faster without popping any bleeds from the dmg done to them. Something else I found to be a tremendous + was the pups I am currently using do not tick my mind, they tick my health. As a master doc I can fix this where as the mind ticks really get me at times. I have been killed many times because of my mind dealio and there is nothing that peeds me off more to have an elder down to where I begin to rub my hands together wondering what Im going to loot only for them to spot me, chase me down, and kill me because of my mind being so low.....LOL
Now I do have a question for you fellow rifle peeps. Does anyone use cover when they conceil and if so what does this bring to your ability to conquer the almighty elders? Another thing I have wondered, if you do use cover, does this decrease your speeds between shots and do you still use the conceil shot when using cover?
I have only tried cover when I was leveling and I cant recall a successful venture with that so I just quit using it. I'm not for sure if I even used it right. Any suggestions or input on this?

Cover increased you ranged defense. What that means is if you were fighting ranged opponents and were in cover, you would be hit less often. So, using cover when conceal shotting an elder would provide zero bonus. Many of us hope that someday cover will be some cool tool that will help to make us riflemen more like snipers, but at the moment, it's a fairly useless tool. If you've drawn the aggro of a ranged opponent, more than likely you're either going to blow it away in a couple of shots regardless of /takecover or you're going to need to kite.
