can someone please explain to me what is so good about sniper shot. I expected a "very powerful" attack, and i got a useless one. other gun professions seem to have stronger attacks, so why do rifleman get stuck with such a lame master ability???

I don't have sniper shot yet, but I talked to a guy with it. He said he did aboutn 130 unlucky to 2900 lucky, and it's a ranged deathblow. It's like headshot 4 with deathblow attached to it. No more running pointblank to gain your PvP faction.

It does 50 damage, regardless of your weapon....

Wow, that guy must've been full of bantha pudu. I guess it's just pretty much a ranged deathblow then isn't it? Then what hits me for 800+ mind and kills me at the same time on bestine raids?

without a ranged DB rifleman would be pretty farked in PvP

Sniper Shot is onlya move that allows for ranged DB, as long as it KILLS your INCAPACITATED opponent, you really dont have to worry about the dmg done.

Yeah, this is purely a PvP ability.

But it's a pretty cool one.

800+dam and kills you at the same time? are you serious? doesn't sound right to me...sounds like a headshot3 then a snipershot...could be wrong though since i don't have snipershot yet

That could really even out rifleman ya know. I would rather have a headshot3 with a deathblow(snipe) more than a knockdown. Sure pistoleers and other classes would get the same knockdowns and their huge damage stoppingshot, but if we get a chance of 1shot kill and deathblow at the same time...

A one hit kill and deathblow would be amazing, seeing as how most of the time I only get off one or two shots before I'm in melee anyway, and after that I'm dead. It would make us more sniper like.

The only thing sniper shot does is DB from range. The damage means nothing as the guy/gal has to be incaped to be DB so doing 50-3k damage dones not matter with this shot, oh it only does 50.
