Thread: For the Riflemen that are upset: Chin Up Buckaroos!
at least you dont use a carbine. I've read a couple ofposts on here saying how gimped the rifleman class is. Not so! Carbineer is gimped. Trust me. After grinding on that useless tree and sucking up HAM bar like theres no tommorrow, riflemen have it way better.
Yes, we all know about the pistoleer. Can you say "nerfbait?" With all the fuss, they're gonna get tuned down and we're gonna hear the crying all the way in this forum.
Bounty Hunters? If you people still aren't past the fact that the BH *is* supposed to be the baddest in PvP, due to the very nature of the profession, then nothing besides being a BH yourself is going to quench your bloodthirst.
So chin up buckaroos, the way of the rifle remains an elite one.
I agree BH should dominate in PVP,
thats what they are for right.......................
Yeah, greedo sure was a badass...
No. I don't think bounty hunters aresupposed to dominate. I think they get a special combat-oriented revenue stream andthat's it. Playing a BH is for someone who doesn't want to craft but still wants to make good money. Not everyone is Boba or Jango.
Even if they WERE supposed to be better at pvp, that should be through higher skill bonuses, not through a "win fight" button, like they (and other classes) have now - knockdown. Without knockdown (especially the ridiculous fireknockdown) BH's are pretty balanced I think.
definition of BH according toCGC strat guide:
"An advanced smuggler going from galaxy to galaxy in search of new and tougher bounties to hunt. Although BH is not the main threat in PVE, they are the dominating factor in the PVP world of SWG"
There's my logic....I dont say its fair, I say its intended like that.
The strat guide also says the following about RIFLEMEN:
"Practically invisable with conceal shot and sneak, the rifleman seeks to harass, elude, and frustrate opponents, sniping wihtout fear of reprisal."
This is clearly a load of crap. So why must we stick to BH's description?

Yah, if that guide is your justification, your case is pretty weak.
Where does it say ANYWHERE that they should dominate anything?
BH's are a jack-of-all-trades class, and this is proven by the requirements to get there. BH's are the most versatile combat class, but they sure as hell don't deserve to own up every target they go after with any weapon they choose.
People have this goofy misconception that Bounty Hunter = Uberleet Kill-all Assassin... and you know what, it's not supposed to be. BH's have a vast arsenal, and several special attacks, and lots of skills that make them versatile. Under no circumstances however should a BH be better with a Pistol than a Pistoleer, or better with a Carbine than a Carbineer, or better with a Rifle than a Rifleman, or better than a TKA with Unarmed. To say othewise is absolutely rediculous.

Have you tried conceal shot? It does exactly what this definition state. So the definition is exact. The mob doesn't fight back...at all...
