Thread: Too much melee def

Rifleman special abilities gives way too much melee defense. I think melee def should be a glaring weakness for our class and +20 melee def is too much. The branch should give like 2 or 5 melee def and instead give extra ranged def.

+20 is nothing, when we take more dmg then anyone else against melee.

Yes I am serious. I would MUCH rather get 20 more ranged def there than the melee def. Makes no sense giving us melee def.

Yes yes That dark jedi knight should not be able to reach out and grab me for 8000 damage, it should of been 80000 damage. =/

Melee defnese works all the time, so if mixed with the right class, you could have high melee defense.

I completely agree with the original poster. If your a rifleman your SOL if the enemy catches you in melee anyway. Ive been hit for upwards of 2k damage. 20 melee defence or not, you aint surviving that.


Those 20 points would be MUCH more useful if put towards ranged defence, something riflemen actually have to deal with from BH's and their ungodly speed/accuracy and carbineers with thier knockdowns.

I agree that we should trade off the melee for range because we all after all the range masters.


However our melee cost should be scrapped, if anything rifles should be negating melee damage, after all its a rifle that you can use in defense as well!
