Well, probably 'cause the LD1 is more rare and harder to get (in that if you make the wrong choice in the Arena Champion fight, you simply can't do the quests to get it). Anyone can get the Fallan Hyperrifle by doing Sordan's bets, but you have to kill the Arena champ and then do the Outcasts quests to get the LD1. I've got both, but use the LD-1 'cause it just looks sooooo dang nice.

I think Fallan is the bio-linked one.

I still prefer a berserker rifle for the looks though. Wish there were alternates to the LD-1 with other colors though.

Also, one of them must be bio-linked and the other doesn't. I can't remember which though off the top of my head.

LD-1s rock i prefer a Bowcaster though ^_^

I prefer the Fallan Hyper for myself. I love the long barrel on it. Everytime I pull it out, I get all kinds of "what kind of rifle is that" tells. With slicing and pup'ing it's a pretty damned nice rifle!

Statistically, the Fallan-Hyper Rifle and LD-1 Rifle are the same.

The question is availability.

On many servers, including Ahazi (a large server), the LD-1 is very, very uncommon. They tend to sell for quite a bit more.

I haven't done the quest for the Fallan yet. But I have done the LD-1 and it is time consuming. The mission was only fixed about a 1-1/2 months ago. The quest for the LD-1 is a breeze for a CL80 combat character.

I did the quest for the LD-1 and received it. I bought the Fallan. These things are the same.

the only difference between them is the biolink, i have the ld1, but im still gonna get the fallan because it looks cool. But i like the ld-1 cause it actually looks like a snper rifle.

if stats are the same on them how would you all go about getting them sliced??

LD-1 soooo looks like an AWP.

Can't help you on that one. Basically, it looks like a light green knock off of an Accuracy International Sniper Rifle.

Talk to the Kerritamba Village Chief in the Kwokirr Forest. It's a long process, lots of quests involved. Sooner or later, you get a choice to continue being a goodie-two-shoe-tree-hugger and help the Wookies. Your reward? Wookie style furniture!... no, unfortunately no furniture made out of Wookies.

Your alternate route is to help the opposing clan. An agent of theirs is at the entrance of the Kerritamba Village and he'll talk to after you kill the Wookie challenger at the Arena. You get the option of going to their hideout and do a bunch of missions for them. In the end, you get to joyously slaughter Wookies left and right. The final reward? The LD-1 Rifle! Ha!

3. Where do I start the quest to get the Falleen Hyper-Rifle?

Not sure where it starts, I want to say in the Hunting Trail. Check in the Quest Forum.
