Thread: Mind heal IS going to be put in the game....
Unless I'm very mistaken, expect some form of mind heal soon. Some quotes from Raph Koster (Holocron):
"It's the bread and butter in large part because mind can't be healed on the fly in combat... That's the underlying problem, I think."
"We don't plan to allow medic types to heal mind, because it opens the door to lots of exploits for them, as you point out."
"Frankly, this situation is a bit of a loophole in the design. We did not catch the medic exploit until too late, so we removed the mind pool heal from them, without creating an alternative. Mind is not supposed to be the determining factor in a combat."
I'm not sure if this is good news or bad. It would be nice to have less downtime, but a doctor / mind healer would be almost unkillable.
My theory Is it will be a Squad Leader Mind regen, I have said it thousands of times.
They dont want medics doing it, wich means no stims, they dont want entertainers becuase of no "bard", the only thing left are Squad Leaders.
squad leader logical, because of the skill requirements to reach it (making it harder to create a self healing class), and that thier class is so underpowered as it stands.
its also a group orientated class, so i would assume the mind heals would be for groupmates only

I don't think mind should be healable, but it should not incapacitate either. I was thinking along the lines of mind transfer. Heal XX/YY mind damage at the cost of XX mind. I will copy the post in this thread. Tell me what you think.

Any type of mind heal is something we have to vigourously fight.
