Ok, I'm a master Weaponsmith and soon to be master rifleman. I built myself an E11 rifle w/ stock and scope the other day just to see what it was like. The last I remembered, both the E11 rifle and carbine did HEAT damage. Did this change in one of the patches? So now I have this gun which is really a Laser rifle with lower damage but faster. Maybe I'll use it for PvP.

The E11 is good for getting the last of the HAM of someone to 0. With say 1000 health left, all you do if attack it with an E11 and it kills it faster.

Try experimenting on the range mods on an E11. You can reach 120+, a little better than a laser. It's great for sticking status effects. Besides that, the damage is low and energy, so not much use in trying to deal damage.

Actually the minimum damage on my E11 is 127. Max was about 195, speed was 5.7 I think.

Well see..the devs felt it necessary to ... ballance.. the weapons. E11 became an energy and the same with the Kinetic damage causing Tusken rifle which is now an energy weapon. I guess it is fine that we are limited to Stun, Cold and energy "and aparently heat now with this new bezerker rifle" however I miss the good old tusken rifles kinetic damage.

e11 are really nice tho i had a firend make me a krayt e11 and i didn't miss. Yeah the damage was low but if your buffed enough you can just keep pluggin away at the mind bar. I always used it when they got too close for my laser and i started missing alot.So it helped.

I don't remember the E11 rifle being heat, the E11 carbine has always been heat and still is heat. I also don't remember the T21 being blast, but I do remember the Tusken being kinetic. The Tusken should be kinetic just for continuity sake. It shots a friggin bullet.

That is not min damage he is talking about, he is talking about ACCURACY modifiers, you can get the accuracy to 120+ making it one of the most accurate rifles in the game.

I believe the DXR-6b can get some very nice accuracy modifiers. It'd be much better than the E-11 if I recall, but much more expensive. Higher HAMS too, right? I don't really use E-11s...

And I'll say it again: I THINK that speed slices increase accuracy modifiers, but am in no position to test that at this time.

Someone got a DXR-6b up to +180 or so at ideal on another thread (unless I'm going insane )

No you are right about the dxr it can get higher accuracy modifiers. The speed slice thing I don't know about and I am at work so I cannot test either, would like to know though.

LOL I need to learn how to read. I'm too obsessed with damage.

The E11 has lower max damage than a Laser, but it has higher min damage. It is also naturally faster and has lower HAM costs. as well as a much tighter damage range, so it is less affected by damage mitigation. As others have said, it can be made more accurate. However, like the Laser its AP2 and energy damage.

The E11 is a good alternative to the Laser if you are willing to give up the huge max damage numbers for ensuring that you never get the low damage numbers the Laser can also give. You get this at the same time as you get a faster weapon with lower HAM costs. Also, because, off the shelf, it has lower HAM and faster speed, good damage slice and a max damage/min damage powerup will make it quite competitive with the Laser.

Personally, I carry a T21, a Jawa, a Disruptor, and an E11 for my primary weapons. I also carry an SG82 and a spraystick for special circumstances. I do not even carry a Laser any more. The T21 and Jawa are there for obvious reasons. The Disruptor for Acid damage and just for variety. But I actually carry the E11 more than any of the others. It is great for quickly dispatching the annoyances that attack you as you travel around. It's lower HAM also makes it a good choice to switch to when you start running out of Mind. But one of the biggest reasons I use it as my carry around weapon is that if you carry around that honkin' big log of a weapon that is the T21, everyone knows you are a rifleman. And everyone can recognize the Jawa or the Laser Rifle as a rifleman weapon. But I have even had riflemen ask me if I was holding a Carbine while holding the E11, so it makes a good weapon to keep people guessing as to your skill set while still being a good weapon to use.

The E11 is not the highest damage weapon in our arsenal. However, there are advantages to it which make it a worthy addition to your weapon choices.
