Just one thought of possibility....the DC-15. For those of you that don't know, I nabbed the rifle's official namefrom the 'Star Wars: Attack of the Clones Visual Dictionary'.

This is the HUGE rifle that the clonetroopers use in AOTC. It is definitely a feasible weapon, and could be comparable to the T21 in stats (except maybe a little slower in favor of max damage, there are already too many rifles out there that are faster in favor of lower max damage). I would personally suggest it be a schematic acquired on a particularly challenging quest.

From the official site, if you don't have the book:

http://www.starwars.com/databank/organization/clonetroopers/?id=eu

Click on the photo under "Star Wars Profile" and expand it. Best picture I can find of it.

As you can see, it rivals the T21 in size for sure. But beyond that, I don't have anyconcrete thoughts of how it would work. Thoughts on how it could or should work (stats, how it is acquired--quests or loot, etc...)? Or is it not a good idea at all, and why?

All opinions welcome.....this is just one particular rifle that has been on my wish list for a long time, I have just never proposed it here.

P.S. I forgot to mention one other possibility of how it could be acquired is as a faction perk.

No doubt about it, that gun is sweet and just LOOKS mean. I've been a rifleman for 5 months, I wish the devs would consider this weapon.

True, it'd be nice to have some different Faction specific or Faction related Weapons / Schematics.. And that goes for all profs not just ours.. heh!

Are you sure that's not a pre-T21?

DC-15 is a early T-21 so it would not be as good as a T-21 just FYI thats EU

The Scatter Pistol is a Bounty Hunter Weapon, not a pistoleer weapon. The same thing applies to the Launcher Pistol. Commando's have been after this weapon for quite a while so don't just write it off as a Rifleman weapon before anyone in charge has even considered adding it to the game.

Positive. Like I said, I wish there were a better picture of it I could link to, the picture in the book has a nice cutaway of the DC-15.

When you can see theDC-15 in good detail, itlooks nothing like the T21, except in size (and that hardly counts).

In all honesty, I don't know where in official SW lore the T21 comes from (repeated searches yielded no results except references to SWG), maybe it was created specifically for SWG.

But make no mistake, the DC-15 is a completely different animal.

The T-21 is in ANH. The trooper that fires at the Falcon has one.

I wouldn't dream of writing it off, but the very nature of its design seems more suited for a rifleman. The scatter pistol may be a BH weapon, but it has a look of disctinction that makes it distinctly NOT look like a pistol. The DC-15 looks like a rifle. But if the devs give it to the Commandos, then so be it. I won't lose any sleep.
