Hi I'm DocSavag (or Chataka my character name on most servers) and I'm the merchant correspondant, but I've been a Master Rifleman for about 9 months. I just wanted to say hello and to tell you that even though you guys are in between correspondants you aren't out in the cold. There are correspondants like myself and RandonB (who is a pistoleer hiss!!booo!!
) who are checking on the forum and trying to make sure you guys are heard on any issues that come up.
If you have any specific concerns that aren't listed elsewhere make sure we know about them and we'll do our best to help out until a new correspondant is named. (Nope don't know when that is I've not heard anything about that yet)

I'm fairly certain that RandonB reported the AOE issues along with some others.
Thanks for the clarification on the speed cap numbers I new there were experts in here with a better grasp on it that I did.
We'll do what we can and trust me we are pushing TH to get the combat corresopondant positions filled prior to any combat related changes as well none of us wants any of the professions unrepresented when changes are being considered.

http://killyourpc.org/swg/swg_dps.php?weapon_min=54&weapon_max=209&weapon_speed=2.2&pc_speed=96&class=Unarmed
This site is a dps calculator for any and all classes. It shows that for a masterifleman, 96 speed will allow you to fire any speed weapon at the speed cap, using any attack but strafeshot3. Stafeshot three's real time attack speed is 1.1 seconds btw shots, almost trivial difference.Taking it to 97 will speed cap on any weapon speed.

Not exactly. With +96 speed you will cap any Rifleman special as long as the base speed of the weapon is 7.14 or less. It isn't unusual to find T21's with speeds higher than that. I still have one with speed a bit over 8.
Also +97 will only cap the speed if the base speed is 9.52 or less. Which should cover even a T21. But there could always be an exception. I've noticed looted weapons (non legendary and exceptional) often have higher base speeds than created weapons. So you could find a looted T21 with a rather high speed.
Also there is no StrafeShot3. I think you mean StrafeShot2. ![]()

Bah, don't be lazy just calculate speed for yourself.
Weapon speedmod's are apercentage so 95 Rifle speed is a 95% speed reduction.
So if your Riflespeed is 95 the equation to get your speed is:
(Weapon Speed) X (Special Delay) X (1 - 95/100) = How fast you shoot
If your Rifle Speed is diffrent, just change 95 to whatever speed.
(BTW all Specials with their delays are listed in the FAQ at the top of the page)

In other news, I just emailed TH a little reminder about picking your new correspondent. I don't know why he hasn't selected one yet, but we'll say it's because there are too many overqualified applicants.
He depends on the correspondents a great deal, so it's in the best interest of everybody that the right person is selected. I do concede, however, that this is taking longer than it has for other professions in the past.
