Here is another interesting thing for everyone to know. Combat Medics can throw poison 80m. My rifle can fire 64m. What is wrong with this picture?

Devs clearly do not play their creations and are utter clueless as to the results of their nerfs. They seem to be in love with their ideas and ignore the results.

Its very obvious that people can throw something farther than a gun can shoot something. geez didnt you know that! In RL I throw baseballs 10,000 yards. SWG is just scaled down a bit.

The Devs are lying through their teeth when they say that Range can't be modified. It's all on the weapons, it's not hard coded that all range weapons have a 64m limit, or that all melee has a short limit. It's ONE FREAKIN VARIABLE that can be changed PER weapon.

For example. I have an SR Combat pistol. In the item description, the Max range is listed at 48m. Lo and behold, I can't fire the stupid thing past (guess what?) 48m. I have NPCs kiting me, as they run away shooting me from 55-60m, when I have to get in range first. Same thing could happen in PvP.

SOE is too afraid to piss off their large customer base, but every day that goes by, I think about initiating a class-action lawsuit with everybody that is paying for this game to be refunded one or two months subscription. (Not the price of the game, just the money shelled out by us to test their software for them)

But I don't know that it would be worth it, and there are plenty of people who are very satisfied with the game, so there probably wouldn't be too much to go by in court.

But, out of curiosity, I'm going to initiate a post on the Development Board to ask everyone what their grievances are.

Doesn't sound like lag to me, there is even a CM saying them can make poison packs that hit over 64m:

A quick quote "As for the 80m attack range - ya it's true I watched a CM and another play try it out in Theed (Wanderhome). I chatted with the CM later, apparently it is possible to get the range up to 100 meters and he wants to be the first on the server to do it. Of course I think being able to poison someone at a range far greater than a rifle, or any ranged weapon, is one of the stupidest things I have seen in this game within the most recent 48 hour period. Oh ya - and soon they will be able to heal mind too."

However, there is no point increasingrifle range while warping mobs / pets are still in the game.

Behold my master rifleman skills in all its gimpness as I use our devine ability to hit Mind to my utmost advantage only to see a CM heal the pricks mind - good idea sony - I thought mind dmg was our special perk that allowed us to be gimps in the first place.....

I was just about to post something like this. I askeda friend of mine that's a master CM her max range for poison and such. Her reply was depending on the med, a very well made one can allow for a throw of 90m. I almost fell out of my chair.

Your CM must not be using very high quality meds then.

Master CM here, First I like to congratulate you all on getting the FWG nerfed, so now pistoleers dont have a single decent weapon. A class act to all of you.

Second If you are a master doc/master CM and you can collect about 30 types of rare resources with 1000OQ, 1000PE, 1000MAL, 1000FLA. Then you can make poisons that can reach 80m with perfect expermintation. Of course these arevery rare given that most of the resources are crap most the time, so it takesmonths tocollect them. To the guy who said that hesaw a cm toss a 80m poison: He is most likelya liar. To the person that claimed to see aCM toss a90m poison; you are a bold face liar.

Now you may all go about your business of calling for nerfs.

I have no intention of calling nerfs to any class, period. Do you deny that a CM can target and launch poison from over 64m? That's all I want to know, I don't care if it's 90, 80 or even 67m. That is proof that the Dev's word, that the reason riflemen cannot attack beyond 64m is that it's a hard limit on everything, is bogus. I do NOT want CMs to be limited to 64m, I DO want riflemen to be able to shoot from beyond 64m.
