Friend of mine just crunched the numbers on his crippling shot usage with a high quality laser carbine. He seems to average around 2250 Damage. Curiously enough, that's above my average with a 625ish damage laser rifle and strafe2.

To me it sounds like your taking our PvP damage, and there PvE damage.

I had an average of 2390 in PvE with my Laser Rifle. (No power up, no slice) So it was 28-354.

The variance is so big, its all a matter of luck.

Aldeon, is this 2390 average from the combat window or the overhead?

If it's from the combat window, either you had an EXTREMELY lucky 10 shot streak, or the damage multiplier of strafe 2 is at least 8, which I highly doubt as the highest skill I know is 5 (stopping shot) and I doubt we'd get an AoE with a mult over 5...

Could you just check the min and max on 20 shots or so from the combat window using that same stock laser rifle? You really intrigue me with strafe 2 now... (if you are willing to do that, you could throw in a few startle 2 also so I could finally decide wether I get counter 4 or sniping4 first... )

Combat window, my usual damage varies between 600-3500 with a laser rifle in combat Screen. Its more on the 2000+ side for me. But I guess Im just lucky.

I dont think you want to figure out the multiplier for Strafe Shot 2 usinga laser rifle. Laser rifle is all about luck. Ill get some numbers using the DLT20a later on.

I just got master rifleman tonight and it is a WHOLE different ballgame. I managed to kill an imp with 3 pets in 5 (five!) shots of strafe shot 2. I hit for over 4k with one of them. Each shot hit all 4 targets. The owner was incapped after thesecond shot.

My weapon is a post-nerf T21 with 32% damage powerup. Damage is 168-488.

Strafe shot 2 is AWESOME. If I had one of the pre-nerf T21s, the damage I could do would be just sick.

tacobizell, could you give me some min-max damage FROM THE COMBAT WINDOW with that rifle while using Strafe2 and Startle2? I'm trying to find out the damagemultipliers of those two skills and I dont have them yet...

ya, strafe shot two hits pretty hard. I hit a tusken bantha today for 5227, that's the number that came off his head. I was using a not so hot laser rifle with about 351 max damage and no powerups. I unfortunately do not remember the number i rolled in my combat window.

Um, I'm not sure how you're getting 625 average using a laser rifle and strafe2 (if you're talking about PvE; 625 average in PvP/duel sounds about right). Are you sure you're using strafe2? It's called 'Advanced Strafe' in the combat window. I average well over 2k with it using my laser.

625 is the damage on the rifle... not the damage it does.

Just misread what you said -
You said you were using a 625-ish damage laser rifle - what is your average that you calculated, then? I think we all read that your -average- was 625, not the damage on your laser.

I don't have the recorded average anymore. But it was a bit below the carbbine average 2100-2200.

My numbers are from an hour or so of killing, well over 100 shots. His was over 200 shots.
