Whats the difference?

Aside from flushing also adds stun, which I have no idea what does.

But other than that they are 100% identical?

And another question, why is strafeshot2 better than any of those? It seems to do the same, only with lesser damage.

I dontunderstand the specials, I admit it, could someone explain`?

flushing stuns, startle raises thier posture

try using flurry with startle and/or supression on enemy NPCs

as for strafeshot2, sorry i can't answer that i dont have it yet.

hope that helps some.

The info I found on it

Flushing = damage modifier 1.5 + stun + raise posture

Startle = damage modifier 1.5 + raise posture

I've never seen stun do a difference, is that just me? Are they identical apart from the name or do any of you see a diffenrence? is so what?

Judging from what the skill do, one would think that flushing2 is the better, but its actually gained before startle.

This is why I am confused.

I know all about dizzy shots and how to make the humanoids fall over, but thanks anyway Sariin =)

Flushing stuns (applies penatlies to defense, i.e Ranged defense, Melee Defense)

Startle Shot raises posture, pretty worthless if you ask me, not many people kneel or prone anyways in PvP.

naw noone really kneels or prones in PvP, you can't really theres too much going on to sit still, which makes it kinda hard on riflemen =( actually it makes it real hard on our accuracy..

does startle and suppression evenwork in PvP? ive never tried, never really had the opportunity.

im pretty sure flushingdoesnt raise posture, i could be wrong i've only used it a few times but i made a post not too long ago similar to this andi was told that flushing stuns and startle raises posture. *shrugs*

Thanks Aldeon, I looked at the specials on swgcenter.com they say flushing startles and stuns, hence my confusion.

I still miss a posture down special in the rifle tree, I would like to drop support IV but as it stands now I really need suppressionfire =)

flushing shot 2 is area of effect and sometimes you do not want to take an area of effect shot....

startleshot2 is not....

Why are you wearing that stupid man suit?

hmm everytime I used Flushing 2 it raised the NPC from prone to kneeling. Even the description says it startles and stuns at same time

are you sure? I would thing that "startle" would stun them and "flushing" would flush them out and make them raise their posture.

anyways why are you guys using these attacks instead of headshots? They hit random pools and do less damage.. unless that's the point since you're trying to help your group becasue we have to adapt to what damage pistoleers are doing.

Flushing does not raise posture, it only stuns. Startle only raises posture.

Yes they both work in PvP.

Reasons to use flushing shot 2 and startle shot 2 over the headshot line:

Area of effect

No real noticable shot range penalty (I hit fine at 9m with area attacks)

Higher damage (with my 711 pre-nerf dmg sliced dmg powerupped T21 I've cleared 4k base damage)

Area of effect

Area of effect

Hit's multiple mobs at once since it's area of effect

You can get huge portion of the exp in places like squill caves because it's area of effect

And oh yeah, it's area of effect.

Flushing shot raise the posture and stuns. Tested. Not sure about flushingshot2. I will get it today. Stun as I understand description make NPC attack slower and give him penalties to defense/offense. Devs should clear this out. As it seems to me, we have two almost similar specialmoves.

Give us AE Suppression Fire.
