I don't post in the forums, usually just skim thru and read them, but I'm curious so i have to ask. Is it just me or is there a sudden growth in the amount of rifleman now?

I made master rifleman awhile back and I could never find anybody to train me, i paid a trainer for every one of my skills except the last one and master. Now, everywhere i go i see riflemen, not that this is a bad thing. Did something happen that I missed? Anybody else notice this or know why we have started growing all of a sudden, or dare I ask are we the flavor of the month? Just curious, anyways to all the new riflemen (and women) welcome and hope you like it.

Holocrons are drawing people to the unloved professions.

I've wanted to be a Master Rifleman from day one. I've only been playing semi-casually for 2 months now, and last night I obtained my first elite skill Intermediate Sniping Accuracy. I keep my Master Marksman title visible, instead of the Novice Sharpshooter title. Once I no longer need Apprenticeship Experience, I'll probably drop titles.

I haven't noticed a sudden populace of Rifleman, but maybe it's just players like myself who are finally getting into the profession they desired from the beginning.

People are starting to realize how awesome this class is. Hopefully it won't escalate to FOTM status....don't think it will as we do have some glaring weaknesses to go along with our strengths. The upcoming changes might push us more that way...will have to see them in action to really tell though.

I am doing Rifleman because an blue cube told me to do that.

I was Master Doctor and I still Master Heavy Swordsman, I didn't like ranged weapon professions, but now Rifleman seems very good to me now (Rifleman 4-0-0-4 since last thursday)... since this professions has a lot of common things with Heavy Swordsman.

you mean population growth from months ago when devs said it was one of the more popular novice professions?

I think you are right about the population explosion, at least on the Flurry server. It could be the fact that I am hanging out in completely different places now and participating in a lot more PVP. Maybe I just wasn't paying attention before, but lately everywhere I turn there is a Master Sharp Shooter. I also get so many tells now asking for training. I don't even wear my master title, I like the Gunner title better, I think it confuses more people and I don't see many people with it. How do these people find me and know I'm a master? Don't get me wrong, I am happy to train as long as you are an Imperial.

With all the new riflemen out there I make sure the creature handler in our group knows to look for riflemen first and to send his gsp's right after him/her before they realize he is a no mind havin, no helmet wearin, 7'2" Wookie target.

I fear riflemen more than any other profession.....Yeah, I scare myself .

I am just wondering how many people get novice solely for T21? As we all know its a long climb, only the best and most devoted make the top.

Enough to give Lowca weaponsmiths a bustling market for them, even though T-21's suck burning ass on our server.

I'm one of the people who's doing it because the holocron said to. At first, I thought "Oh god, Rifleman? This grind is going to take forever!". But once I went on a few hunts with my guild, I realized that Rifleman was pretty **edit** good. With head shot 2, if I spammed it, I'd kill mobs faster than all the TKAs beating on it - that made me happy in the pants.

After I master Rifleman (already got master marksman) I'm keeping the profession, because I'm only 1/0/2/2 and I love it.

I know in my guild and city, there's 5 people whose holocrons told them to master rifleman. Everyone of us is keeping Rifleman since everyone of us loves it now. So I'd say there is a definate increase in sharpshooters.

I think since Holo's are also forcing people to Master and not just dabble more people are starting to see the difference between a Master Level Rifleman and a Novice

i didnt take up rifle until the T21 became available on Bria. but i took it up at first just for the conceal shot to help with BH bounty missions. but once i found out how MUCH better just conceal shot was than the entire BH weapons trees i went ahead and mastered it.
