Rifleman Archive

I just spent a whole week grinding up the Sniping line of Rifleman for my character. I had a crate of Ryshcake with me and Breath of Heaven, a full set of Doctor buffs, plus Musician mind buffs. With mind cost reduction powerups, and running around with no armor on whatsoever (to reduce encumberance)I was able to keep the mind cost of using my Laser Rifle and T21 down low enough that I could spam headshot on rebel NPC's to grind exp. All week, I earned 1.2 million exp.

My friend who had gotten tired of the game with his BH. I decided to log on his account and try him out for a while. His BH 0/0/2/0, and was Pistoleer 0/0/0/1. I played him for one day (full Doctor buffs all day) Spamming eyeshot, I got him to BH 0/0/4/0, Pistoleer 0/2/4/2 in one day. I was able to wear a full set of composite armor the entire time. Total exp earned 2.4 million in one day.

I can't tell you how awesome it felt to actually be able to hit things if they got close to me. And to be able to wear armor! The point of this post is not to call for nerfs, I just found it interesting. Which profession is more rewarding in the end?

yeah i know, ive tried pistol on another character. Its quite a shock when you start hitting shotat lvl4 marksman pistol, far outdamaging rifles due to your raw rate of fire. BH 0/0/2/0 with eye shot beats any rifleman one on one. The first eye shot blinds the rifelman... with all the rifle accuarcy penalties, do you imagine how bad it is WITH a blind state slapped on? ugh.

Its all about player percentages though. According to the stats posted a while ago, there are about 6 times as many bounty hunters than riflemen, andmuch more pistoleers.

After thinking about this for a while, I decided I'm giving up Rifleman on my character and changing to something more enjoyable.

I was a bounty hunter, and now I switched to Rifleman....I love it.

More whining from Harp00n... eye shot from bh does not guarantee a victory in pvp against master rifleman. I almost guarantee that my rifleman will take out a fully composite bh before his eye shot takes me down.

and ccmetal, if you had persevered you would have seen how great it gets but oh well do whatever makes you happy hehe

On topic, it's all about tactics. Shure, lay prone in front of a bounty hunter, they will lay right down on top of you. In cities, use natural cover to help you get to range.

Yeah, we're still on Tarquinas. We've got a PRC on the northern coast of Naboo, 54 citizens so far and growing. We're an Imperial town, too. One of these days I'm going to make a serious alt on the other server where you guys are, instead of my wookiee named LukeSkywalkerII.

once again, Harpoon shows that he is an inexperienced n00b who talks out of his ass.

eyeshot is only useful if multiple BH's spam it on you (like, more than 2) and you're stupid enough to not be wearing a helmet. a BH dies VERY fast against a smart master rifleman.

and what are you saying about "poor rifleman accuracy bonuses"? we have awesome accuracy bonuses!

Only a fool prefers EBH/Pistoleer to Mrifleman. Suffer the rifles grind, the result is very, very worth it.

why does harpoon post this mess?? only a total PVP newb goes for BH and pistols LOL. that build is only effective against complete newbies to pvp.
