Thread: Post yer fav rifleman Macro here!
I personally don't use macros and I bet most people(Riflemen anyways) do not. There are some excellent combos, but macros are tough due to the fact that, for example, if you try for a dizzy, it may fail the first time and need to be done again.
Some nice combos:
- FlurryShot1 or FlurryShot2 + SuppressionFire1
- FlurryShot1 or FlurryShot2 + FlushingShot1 or FlushingShot2
The first would befor forcing a standing opponent into a lowered position. The second for raising an opponent/multiple opponents into a raised position. However, with the implementation of the Dizzy first, your enemy(s) will hopefully fall down and become unable to fight for some time.(This is assuming the Dizzy sticks and the posture change is successful)
It should be noted that, currently, these will only work on players and NPC's. Later perhaps, a patch will be put in making it affect creatures as well. Who knows? ![]()
This is just off the top of my head, but I am confident that you will find these very effective once you get the proper skills ![]()
/mindshot2
/headshot3
(repeat til they bleed then just /headshot3)
Solo mob- /concealshot repeatedly
pvp while solo- /strafe2 repeatedly
pvp in group- /flurry2;/flush2;/flurry2;/flush2
Mob missions- /shout A (tell pet attack) wait 5 seconds then /flurry1 or 2 until it works then /flushing1 or 2 till it works. if its one left just use suprise shot or strafe1
another good one i like to use is /takecover;/flurry2;/strafe2 then hit strafe 2 till dead then /snipe
most of these are only useful at master though. i never used macros until i hit master. just regular shot my laser rifle.
/attack
/say **edit**
/stand
shift 1 (change to pistol)
/clone

you cant use macros with rifleman, only with pistol classes
rifle accuracy, even at master, is simply not dependable enough to get a string of moves going without missing, compared to pistol users which miss maybe once in a gaming session
Novice rifleman with T21 shoot like every 6 seconds.
**edit** holocron newbs.
Here's a macro I wrote myself. It's better adapted to other classes really, but it works for riflemen as long as you do the following:
Get yourself a decent spraystick and equip it. Then run outside a city where tons of low-level creatures hang out. It's IMPORTANT that you can one-shot these creatures; if you can't, this isn't going to work very well. Also, make sure these creatures DON'T automatically aggro, and it's better if they're non-social as well.
Now, create this macro and place it in your first toolbar slot:
/ui action targetSelf;
/ui action cycleTargetOutward;
/follow;
/pause 20;
/aim;
(Okay, at this point, insert your favorite special shot... for example, Strafe Shot...)
/strafeShot1;
/strafeShot1;
/strafeShot1;
/pause 12;
/loot;
/pause 2;
/harvest meat;
/pause 2;
===OPTIONAL SECTION===
/sit;
/pause 30;
/stand;
/pause 2;
===NOT OPTIONAL! INCLUDE THIS COMMAND LAST!===
/ui action toolbarSlot01
Okay, this macro will automatically target the closest animal or NPC and start following it for 20 seconds. After 20 seconds, it then makes you Aim and unload your specials. Hopefully it will only take one shot, but it ques the special three times to take into account misses, unusally low damage shots that don't kill the creature outright, etc. It then tries to loot (if your target happens to be an NPC), and also harvests meat from the corpse (if it's an animal). Of course, you can change it to harvest hide or bone, or not harvest at all.
If you add the optional part at the end, you then sit for a short while and regen, then stand up (this is mainly for low-level riflemen who may take more damage). The macro then activates your second toolbar slot (which we'll put another macro in shortly).
If you want to throw a /kneel; in there as well before you attack that's up to you, but if the creature moves at all you'll stand up because you're following it. I would only suggest you kneel if you decide you don't want to include the /follow; command, but if you do this you won't be able to harvest the corpse of your target 99% of the time because it will be out of range(and you can't /follow a corpse, so don't bother trying).
Okay, now makeanother macro and place it in your second toolbar slot:
/ui action toolbarSlot00;
Heh, that was an easy one, wasn't it? This just starts your first macro over again.
Now, to finalize the coolness, aim your camera level with the horizon and press CNTRL+SHIFT+S. This will start your camera rotating around you.
Now, do you realize what you have here?A fully functional (drum roll please)...
LOOPING AFK COMBAT MACRO!
Of course, looping macros are BAD and you shouldn't use them; if you do you'll ruin the game and the economy and the world will catch on fire, blah blah, etc., but here's how it works.
You target a mob, follow it, attack it, harvest it. Your camera is rotating, meaning that even if a MOB isn't in your current field of view, odds are the camera will be looking in a different direction during the next targeting cycle and will then acquire a new target, follow it, kill it, etc. If you're, say, outside a city with lots of low level, instantly respawing mobs, your character can litterally wander around for hours doing this.
Now granted, the XP you get isn't going to be great, and the resources you collect will be minimal too. Also, if you accidentally wander near some high level MOBS or NPCs, you'll get yourself killed and end up in the clone center. You might also wander away from the spawning area chasing a rogue target and end up just standing in a field for hours. I don't use this macro myself because of all these reasons, but I thought I would offer it up for people who might be interested.
What it boils down to is that AFK hunting works, but it's not nearly as effective (or fun) as actually playing the game yourself.
Oh, and if you want to stop the macro from looping, just type /dump. This will clear all queued commands from the game's memory.
I wrote this macro to prove to the nay-sayers that, yes, it ISactually possible to create an infinite looping AFK combat macro that works andDOESN'T use third-party software, only in-game commands. No need to fiddle with .txt files or aliases, no muss, no fuss. I doubt I'm the first to discover it, but I think I'm the first to really publish the how-to of it.
So there you go. Modify it to fit your needs. It's GREAT for earning Unarmed XP, and you can of course use the same commands to create an AFK sampling macro. If you want to try this with higher level MOBs or NPCs, I would recommend throwing in a set of commands to automatically use a Stim, but you'll eventually run out of them and die if you don't pay attention.
Enjoy, andtell me I'm cool.
