Thread: Anybody else getting really crappy Mindshot 2 hits?

I've been hunting on Endor of late, and I've noticed that I've been doing some really crap-tastic hits for Mindshot 2. T21 with Powerup, pushing damage to 145-573, I've been seeing a lot of hits for less than 500. It's really annoying to do a 487 point bleed with Mindshot 2, and then drop a 900 point bleed with Mindshot 1.

Is it just me having a bad tango with rand()? Or is anybody else seeing this?

Actually, my MS1 and MS2 tend to average the same damage.

I still use both for the stack of course...

no one really is positive how bleeds interact with defenses and armour. altho the consensus seems to be armour has no effect on bleeds. i havent noticed any reduction in my MS2 versus high energy resist either. so i tend to think it bypasses armour and resists and has a straight X2.5 multiplier. if that is the case it would just be bad luck.

I also have noticed that my mindshot2's were consistently as low or lower than my mindshot1's. But not always. I'm not sure why this is, or if it is just bad luck. Often I end up reapplying mindshot2 several times till i roll one I like. Since AP doesn't affect the bleed damage I always use my laser rifle over my T21 for the bleeds. And I always use AIM before each shot. With a quick, high-powered laser rifle i get better bleeds at faster times. Of course I then switch to the T21 for whatever else shots I am going to use.

I've been getting shoddyhits with all bleeds of late, and have noticed that for the last couple of weeks MS2 hits for consistently less than MS1. Thought it was just me - maybe they changed something somewhere, or maybe I've been unlucky. Difficult to say.

I can say for certain that my Mindshot2's are averaging a couple of hundred points more than my Mindshot2s. My Mindshot2s are averagingaround 1100.

I was hunting krayts last night and noticed several times my MS2 hitting for 600 and MS 1 hitting for 1600.. I wsa thinking i fired MS1 first by accident but checked my combat log and low and behold MS1 was out damgaging 50% of the time.

I had the exact same thing as MarcoRenaldi with Krayts. My mindshot2's with a 149-551 T-21 were only hitting in the 500-600 range, while my mindshot1's were still getting around 900-1100. Not a good thing to be wasting your time reapplying mindshot2's on a Krayt that is running rampant.

It seems to me the variabilty of the MS2s is much greater, It's been running all over the board for me.... REALLY high sometimes, piss-poor others, but rarely in the middle. It seems to be focusing on the extreme scores, not the middle where the meat is.

HS2 works great for me, its HS3 that sucks. I usually miss with HS3 and when it does hit its allways less damage than using HS2.
