Thread: Strategy against combat medics?

What do you all do when fighting against a group with a master combat medic who lays mind disease and poison on you? Is there any good defense other than kill him as fast as possible?

As of right now there is no strategy against them except to use their stupidity (and not many cm's are stupid cuz all it takes is to sit back and "camp" really, how hard is that. In a group of other soldiers that can protect the CM .... all he has to do is sit 10-15 meters behind them and chuck his AoE poisens. This make it impossible to attack him becase there is a problem with the range right now.


A CM that is able to throw an AoE poisen 56m atcually is able to throw it 74m because of the added 26m of AoE effect on the poisen. This is 10 meters before anyone has a chance ot even think about shooting the CM. In essence......... YOU get nailed by the CM and the group infront of him protecting him... Without anyone being able to lay a hand on him unless they Burst run into a wall of laser fire.... By the time they get to the CM the poisesn and other fire has killed them.


You could all rush the CM to try and kill him first. But this means u are taking on poisen while trying to kill him...and most likely if you do kill him....will never get healed because the other soldiers ar 1 or 2 shots from capping you.


Solo.......a CM is dead meat..... In a small group of 4-5 or more....... HE is a one man army. And cappable of taking out anywhere from 5-10 soldiers in an open area........ or 10-20 in a confined area (I.E. base shutdown)


Sorry but until the Devs fix this issue with the AoE of CM's..... (and they are working on it).... there is no strat to something u can't get to.

Whenever I run into a combat medic with a buddy, i usually have him kill them while i cure poison spam... most of the time they just die by the time i've cured it.

I have a great strategy, I mastered doctor


You do need a hell of a lot of mind buffs though if you plan on using the doc skills and rifle skills together.

Master Doc, Buff up all your Stats(Including mind stats), Cure yerself, and Spam HS3 to him-I'm Not a doctor though


When facing an CM in a group I just let him stand back and snipe his buddies on the periphery. Oh and when I snipe I'm notin a large group of fellow imps, because the CM's usually only target large groups(More bang for his buck I guess). Nother thing I move around a hell of alot, keep one of the periphery attackers targeted and move in for the kill when they have weak mind stats.

CM's are like nukes. You have them just incase you need them, but as soon as you start using yours the other guys start using theirs and everything goes to hell-PyschoticChipmunk -The First line of the Riflenomican.

HEHE my strategy is being a 4440 doc( i can buff myself and cure those poisons). I had one guy taunt me after he landed a poison/disease combo. IT was pretty freaking funny watching him Burst run as soon i cured both. I then headshotted the n00b and 3 capped him.

These are my strategies in battling a CM and I am a CM/Rifleman


In a large groups of palyers fighting:


1. Dont all stand together


2. Break your unit into 2 groups, main force and reenforcements.


3. Reenforcements remove themselves from immediate areas, the should have 1 or 2 rifleman, melee and a doc and or Cm.


4. Main group engages group with CM, 1 person from main groups gives name and location of Cm


5. Main group takes ,poison and disease, continues to fight


6. Reenforcement group out flanks attacking group striking them from the side and or back, armed with name or location of CM he is killed first.


7. with no chance of friendly fire, reenforcements attack group and attempt to squeeze attackers in a cirle with your main group.


8. An added bonus is if your reenforcements have a CM, they can then AOE the entire attacking group and kill the CM.


That has worked for me on several occasions,


another way is to have your melee remain covert and run through attackers and hit the CM using group tef.

there is a chef food that adds decent resist to poison and disease. find a chef and have em bump up the effectiveness.

Yeah it is just too bad we use our food slots for mind. I f not for that we could have that, hal our mind, and KD def(hmmmmm KD defense)

Use suppression fire if you have it then dizzy and stun them to slow their already slow attacks then use your preferred attack till they incap.
