Completely random event(we have theories but none that have proven out yet). It can happen and when it does kite until they are dead - use ss2 once they come running at you and make sure your terrain negotiation is working well.. pop some parwan cake and burst run continiously until she is dead.

or stand there and rifle tank the elder using intimidate, warcry to delay her to heal or cure bleeds. It is not that tough and a lot well challenging then just running.

No this is not completly random at all, if you use a T21 that is under 400damage you will never get a bleed on your opponent ever ill Guarntee you that. I once killed a DJM i found on dant in the NW corner using conceal shot while prone at 60m with my 399dmg T21 to test this rumor and guess what after an hour he was dead and i wasent after being afk for almost an hour jus running a macro...and 5k credits in my pocket. /boggle

can't be that .. I have used a 378 t-21 and I got bleeds all the time while using conceal shot. My wound chance though was like 57%

Until you get KD/dizzy. With my current build I have lousy KD/dizzy defenses. If I get to close they will KD/dizzy = death. Ony have 5 def vs KD and 10 vs dizzy.

Kiting is king with elders.

just bring along your defense-stacker-buddy

or pick up smuggler for feign, pop a few hs3's, ms1 and 2's then feign again... it'll take long, but it can be done... and it might be faster than concealshot

Well - I've managed to solo an Elder a few times now, and I simply Conceal Shot her as much as possible and maintain my distance at 60-64m when she isn't moving much. Peace out when she moves away, close the distance and hit her again with Concealed Shot.

Travel Biscuits (terrain negotiation of +10 I think) are very handy, as is the Parwan Nutricake (Burst Run food - when/if needed). I also have mind buff, a shot of 400+ Brandy and a 400+ Ahrisa to keep my mind pool preped for lots of firing.

Occiasionally, by chance - Iget a bleed on her - and of course, she aggro's on me. I don't let her get closer than 30m, and as she's bleeding - I pump her with Strafe Shot2 to make good use of the 5x modifier until the bleed dispears.

If you're gonna be in deep doo-doo you might as well get your digs in.

When I break contact by pulling away from her (burst-run[food]), or her bleed stops and I can peace out - I simply circle back, and start up again withConcealed Shot.

Takes me about 15 minutes or so to take and Elderdown by myself in this manner. I "usually" never even get hit by her.

I find the Nightsister Stronghold is the best place for this, as there is an Elderevery 15 minutes or so (from the time the last one was killed), and there is some relatively flat ground (good for kiting) and - most importantly, there appear to be few if any other mobs around that I can aggro with Strafe Shot 2 - which pretty much leaves me a free hand to take on the Elder with my best shot if the situation calls for or allows it.

Helps to be speed capped, and be *extra* cautious if she has a stun baton. I don't care if you have 40% Stun Resist Armour and a PSG. Her little Stun Baton will cut through you like a hot knife through butter - kite kite and kite!

Or use startleshot to make her walk either way right, but me personally if it isn't 250k+ HAM, move along. I am a big game hunter and I take it to them 1v1 if they multiple agro I will kill them it is what I find enjoyable and guess what I rarely die, I usually die when I go get some fruits to snack on and come back to an elder spawn and my corpse.

Well, if you're feeling more cavelier (or have gotten more comfortable at the clonner), you can try what I've been doing for the past two nights which is to put a bleed intentionally on the Elder (Stack Mindshot 1 & 2) - so that the Elder is constantly aggroed on you.

Make sure you chow down on some travel biscuits (terrain negotiation bonus) before you open up, and also kill all the Nightsisters near the entrance/exit you are going to kite the Elder out of. You don't want or need any extra company.

Kite the Elder out of the stronghold with concealed shot or overcharge shot to get out of the Stronghold its self. Don't use any other area attacks until outtside the Stronghold for fear of attracting the attention of aSpellweaver (they have100% resist to Energy and will complicate your task of soling the Elder).

Once outside the walls of the Stronghold, stick to flat ground as much as possibleand switch to Strafe Shot 2. If you're not sure where all of the flat ground is around the Stronghold - then do a recconaisance ahead of time and establish in your head where you will take the Elder. You don't always have to go in straight lines - though the more you turn, the more distance between you and the Elder you are sacrificing.

Distance - is literally life in this situation.

Maintain your distance - though by virtue of her being aggroed on you - she will spend a degree of her time chassing you between 30-40m. The Elder will stop less frequently (since she's constantly aggroed on you) which leaves little opportunity for opening the distance significantly.

You WILL occaisionally run into some slowly rising ground and possibly even some hilly terrain - which is why the terrain negotiation (Travel Biscuitsin leu of any actual ability)is soimportant. Without it - the Elder WILL catch you (get within 20m) and then put you to the curb.

If you see me at the Clonner you know what I forgot to eat.

Keep your stomach empty enough to scoff down a bite of the Parwan Nutricake (burst run food) if things are begining to take a turn for the worse - i.e. - if you have acidentally run yourself into some hills.

Also - make sure you've unpacked enough weapon powerups ahead of time, as well as any food or med stims you may need. As you will in all likelyhood be aggroed the whole time - you won't have the opportunity to do it during the fight.

Charging accross the landscape spamming Strafe Shot2, with the intent to more quickly whittle down the Elder is effective - but I've found it to be riskier because the likelyhood that the Elder can close the distance is much higher.

It should go without saying, that you should already be benefiting from a mind buff as well as at least one serving of 400+ Brandy and Ahrisa (since you're going to be spamming specials continuously for the next 10 minutes or so). I manage to scoff enough of both down, so as to gain their benefit - but allow my stomach to empty sufficiently for Travel Biscuits and Nutricake later on. If I take Brandy and Ahrisa when I get to the Stronghold, and then clean out the place (except for the Elder) - my stomach is usualy empty enough to be in a position to solo the Elder - yet still benefit from the Brandy and Ahrisa.

All that - and hope luck in on your side.
