My new sniper rifle looks more like a Hawkings .50 than a Barrett Light .50 but I can't wait to get my hands on it!

That sniper rifle looks like exactly what i want, if it looks like it fires as a kinetic rifle that would be awesome. I know that damage types are not going to be the same as they are now after the CU but it is the LOOK that ai am after. Something that would be even better would be a longer version of the new bothan carbine with it's better looking wood stock on it. I use rifles in real life and there is nothing better for the look of one than a nice piece of walnut for the stock, just finishes a rifle off nicely.
On another note I would like to see a large(ish) scope included in the base graphics of the rifle as if the bug still exists where additions mande during crafting are not showing afterwards then at least it would look the part of a real hunting / sniping rifle. Also that rifle definatly looks like it goes BANG not ZAP or at least it should do

Can't say I like it. It looks like they took a spear gun and just stretched it out. The fact that it looks like there is a spear at the end of it doesn't help any.
It looks rather fragile. I was hoping for something a bit more robust.

Also, why do Pistoleers get 6 new pistols and we get only 3 new guns?
Also, why do melee peeps get anenergy weapon?????????
Is my Tusken rifle going to go back to Kinetic??? Why are we being sh@t on?

Just because it has energy in it's name doesn't actually mean it will do energy damage. Remeber both the Tusken and Nym Carbine say they are slugthrowers but they do energy damage. Same type of situation could be true here.

I tend to agree that the sniper rifle looks like it would break in a stiff breeze. For looks I definately like the new Proton Rifle, same with the new Proton Carbine.
And I'll bet the new melee weapons give quite a few different damage types, including energy. It's not something I begrudge the melee professions, as long as the CU brings them back to the level where the ranged professions outdamage them. Melee's have, to me at least, always been all about being able to TAKE hits as well as give them, while ranged professions deal more damage but can get knocked on their asses.

Please remember that the CU is still several months away, 6+ months? There is still enough time to show any new rifles that they are still working on, plus they might be re working the rifles that are already in game but hardly being used eg: cold, lithium, tusken and ?. Besides take a look at what Tk is getting compared to us. Any new rifles are good news, I don't feel that we need to have the most new weapons.

Does anyone have an external referance for it?I'm excited about the "no best rifle" and "no best armor" doctrine that has been announced as a part of the CURB. Has anyone hear if this will also extend to PvE? For instance, do you think that the T21 and the Laser will remain the only "pratical" PvE weapons or will we have real choices to make. Of course I guessing that like me, most of you have at least one of every weapon you're certified for, useful or not.
ya mean the t21 and dxr i rather coke then use the laser. Never again is my cry.
