Given the lower resists Krayts have to Cold Damage, what damage would I need an SG82 to have until it would be worth using over a T21 w/ around 700 max damage (pup'd)?

I've been having my beloved WS make me SG82's with the sets of 3 tissues (or extra tissues from sets of 9). Should I even bother making this rifle?

Proberly not, because of it's AP even tho it could do 700 or so it will be taken down even more so i doubt it would be useful at all.

Krayts do have low resistance to cold damage, but most of them have heavy armor. The SG82 rifle has no armor piercing, so its damage is significantly lowered. Easily said, stick with your T21. But, if you really want to know, you need an SG82 with about 2800 max damage for it to be equal to the T21 against a Canyon Krayt.

maybe post curb, when ar and ap are removed, that will change, this is pure speculation on my part though.

dont bother with the sg82. I got one up to 440 max with 80+ tissues, damage slice and powerup but my 500+ max t21 outdamaged it.

Thanks for the input, I thought that was the case.

What about the CURB makes you say it will take a significantly larger group to kill Krayts?

Also, is the SG82 good for _anything_?

I don;t know about a very large group. back at launch, I heard kryats ham was 30k and they spawned in lairs. I know what we use on ancients is 2 TKMs, a sl (dizzy removal) and a commando. Remember that mobs could be changed o, how would you take down an SBD?

30k HAM Krayts you can solo with burst run no buffs or armor. I used to do it with pistoleer back in july 2003 torso burst kills a krayt.

What Cpl_Fisher was talking about was launch Krayts. At launch if you tried your technique you would have died...

The Krayt would have warped to your location as a rifleman and 1 hit killed you due to the melee damage multiplier.

personally after the CURB I hope it takes 20pcs to kill ancients 15-20 for giants 7-15 for canyon and 3-7 for juvies.
