Thread: Is accuracy really important?
I suggest you consider SAC first then max out damage. You can easily get a 82 SAC rifle with damage at 1,184, both maxes.
Also consider what you want to mod on your character as part of your professions and what you can mod externally.
Damage = weapon based, can be modded with slices and powerups
Speed = profession based, AA & CA mods, weapon slices, weapon powerups
Accuracy = profession based, AA & CA mods, weapon powerups, FOOD
You can take Crispic (+40 Ranged Accuracy) and/or Deuterium Piro (+200 Ranged Accuracy) plus have a +17 accuracy mod built into the rifle (scope added).
Get SAC and Damage on your rifle, get speed in your template, modifiy accuracy as needed with the other items available to you in game (food, pups, etc...).
My suggestions to you.
Question is however how accuracy on weapon relates to accuracy from skill/food.
If accuracy isbased on weapon accuracy and then modified depending on your skill accuracy (including food) then accuracy on weapon is very important. Much like firing speed is calculated (base is weapon speed then modified)
If accuracy on weapon is just added to your other accuracy from skills and food then it is not important. 10-20 accuracy is very little compared to having 200 or more accuracy from skills.
But I have not seen any evidence how this works
