The "Hunter" title will be considered for a change, probably next publish. It will either be changed for the Scout Profession or for the Rifleman.
Right now the Rifleman suggestion that was made was: Assassin

No set date on when either of the titles will be changed or even exacly who will get the change, but wanted to give everyone a heads up.

Here is a list of professions that will get changes.

1. Rifleman and Scout - Hunter

2. Artisan and Merchant - Businessman

3. Doctor and Combat Medic - Emergency Physician

4. Doctor and Combat Medic - Field Surgeon

5. Architect and Merchant - Foreman

6. Fencer has a skill title Fencer (redundant)

While I can't think of a name right now, and I do agree that hunter should be changed, I think a hunter-esque name would be best to replace it Klaw.

I mean Assassin to me sounds kinda Bounty Hunterish.
And one of the Riflemans roles is to PvE (hunt) creatures from a distance. Also, consider that this happens to be the line you get Conceal Shot in which a lot of us use to hunt creatures in the wild.

In conclusion, not sure what to rename it, but Assassin just doesn't fit IMHO

Star Wars Galaxies Episode VIII: Return of the Assassins

Any word on whether or not they're going to fix the profession title bug? I can already see people lining up to get concealment iv, just to walk around with this tag. I'm happy to see it changed, but I'm sorta sad it wasn't to something less flashy like "Ghost". It IS the concealment line after all.

Assassin is nice, but I'd really like the title to be the name of the skill, which is "Silent Assassin." Not too much difference, but its a better name IMO. Just happy for a change, tho.

Concealment is also used by assassins.. just because the mechanics of the shot make it useless to use against other PCs dont change that fact. Due to the level 4 skill named Silent Assassin, I think it is a solid title for the Rifleman.

However this is coming from me considering a mostly PvP perspective. I assume that if you were more of a PvE player you would consider hunting big game with your rifle to be more fitting for concealment, so I can still see it either way. I just dont know what you would use other than Hunter.. and I think the scouts hunting line is more befitting that title than our concealment line.

Not a Rifleman, but I am a Scout and would like to keep the Hunter title (after all it would break the Fett-wannabes' hearts:smileywink

. However you guys deserve something cool that reflects the skill. Might I suggest something like"Ambush Specialist" or "Ambusher".

"Ghost" has been suggested before for this... burried someplace was a whole thread about it with many, many suggestions. I remember that one because it was my favorite as well. If memory serves, "ghost team" (or just "ghost")was a term used for the 2-man sniper-spotter team in the military.

I would want them to change Master title rather than conceal. Master "Sharpshooter"? sounds uncool to me

Ghost or Assassin I like both.

Prefer Assassin because it will piss off more people in the playerbase that we have such a cool title. Well these are the same people that want my profession destroyed so I want to piss em off.
