The other night while doing the current FS combat quest at the village, I was able to land an intimidate on the Sith Thugs while I had a T21 equiped. Although, i've been a brawler for some time and one melee elite class or another, this was the first time I've tried to use intimidate with a rifle equiped. Am I supposed to be able to do that? I just had assumed it wouldn't work unless you had a melee weapon equiped, kind of like a profession specific special.
Is this a bug? Anyone else try this.

It works, and so does warcry. Whether they're supposed to work or not who knows, but it seems plausible this is an on-purpose feature and not a bug.

Yeah, I do this when hunitng Night Sisters with friends. When they have 100% energy resist I just spam intimidate while the TK's kick the crud out of it.

But dodge doesn't work while you have a rifle equipped. PersonallyI like TKM/MRM

praise yoda that it does work, intimidate+warcry are gold in pvp as a rifleman for reducing our def problems.... that and the fact that everyone uses them anyway, so its more keeping up in pvp than an advantage lol
PVE theyr damn good also, NS Elders come to mind lol, next time your NS hunting slam it with warcry and intimidate to help your tank, if both of you syncronize warcrys it can only act 1/3 of the time. First guy warcrys, wait 10 sec, second player warcries, wait 20 sec for first person to be able to do it again, repeat.
With 3 people, isent it possible for her to NEVER act? lol, Iv heard of groups of 3 taking down DJM this way =)

yes it was possible - but under the changes on TC (check patch notes) this was considered an exploit - which they just corrected.

We were made aware of some issues that give people an unfair advantage over others. If you run across an issue like this in game please help us out by reporting it with our bug tool.
These fixes include:
- Warcry: Removed combat delay stacking & added additional checks for combat delay clearing to clean up some exploits.
I also do not expect warcry and intimidate to stay a novice level skill when the CU/R/B arrives as it is to powerful, it's kinda like giving strafe shot 2 to a novice marksmen...

Well, if they do anything to those moves, they should stick em at every nov melee elite box. That would work fine, or the master boxes. Either way a true melee character should keep em. I do belive that 15 pts when your Knight shouldent get you the biggest use of the force powers tree, and thatd clear THAT up too lol
