There are quite a few Rifleman/CH out there. CH goes very well with every ranged combat profession, and Rifleman is (currently) the most functional (read as: actually working) ranged combat profession.

I have a Wookiee named Zaraak on Tempest. He's currently Marksman |4|0|0|0|, Scout |4|4|4|4|Master|, Ranger |0|0|4|0|, Rifleman |4|4|4|4|Master|, and Creature Handler |4|4|3|4|. When I get the experience for that last skill box, I'll have to drop the fourth box of tracking in Ranger to end up at Ranger |0|0|3|0| and Creature Handler |4|4|4|4|Master|. I'm hoping that my Bio Engineer can make some good quality Pet Stim Cs... otherwise I may end up dropping Ranger and half the Scout skills to pick up some Medic skills, but I really don't want to drop tracking.

That is a pretty common template, and if they ever get around to making CH competitive I will go back to it.

My biggest pet peeve was always waiting for pets to be called from the data pad. I don't have a ton of time to play and when I do get the time I don't want to spend 30 seconds before every fight waiting for pets.

Of course, I am ridiculously impatient. I am one of those that pays 50k to cut in the buff line.

I had both templates that have been mentioned here.

For novelty sake, the Mrifle/Mch/Mscout, with ranger tracking 3 was _ok_ Tracking just wasn't worth it to me, and no medic meant you were dependent upon pet stims which are a-hard to find and b-less effective than med stims. The biggest advantage to pet stims is that they are on a different timer than regular meds, which leads me to the other template.

Mrifle/Mch, scout prereqs, and medic 4-3-4-0. The ability to quickly heal yourself or your pets for 2k damage is fantastic.

Couple that with a 1k pet stim and you can heal 3k H-A and 1k M immediately. Good stuff.

I loved the idea of the template, but most of the "neatness" of it was nulled by the many things that perturbed me.

mounts = useless

Pets = useless in high end content and PVP and not necessary in low/mid end content.

Pets = too much time waiting for your meat shield to materialize.

In short, you have to just like being a CH to keep it.

Haven't been since around January - was a holdout after the CH nerf. I loved having pets and I still have a datapad full of great pets for if they ever give CH some love again. Till then, my pets stay lonely and I defense stack. It's a great combo and is still very nice for PVE, but I don't play my combat toon all that often and when I do it's for PVP anymore, as crazy as that sounds lol.

I'm working on Rifleman/CH on Starsider with my Wooie character(thanks to school and work, my leveling has slowed to a crawl). I think that is one of the most common templates, though many CHs prefer to be up close with their pets with a Melee profession.

mrm/mch

I have always been mch, new mrm. Love it. I could take down big big critters, like giant dune kimos with mch and a flamethrower, mrm is more powerful and better in terms of AP and not getting diseased. Two razor cats both below level 35, 60% kenetic, various state effects and pet food (or even better if you can getthe petspeople buffs) help and give plenty of time to take down any target.

My character on Eclipse has this as a template since late november last year.

Master rifles (speed capped)

Master CH

scout 4-0-4-0

marksman 4-0-0-0

medic 4-3-4-0

very enjoyable template to have. the pets might be a bit weak but if you get a BE to make you a couple of lvl35 gurrecks with light armor and 60 kinetic for tanking purposes, you are pretty well set.

use an X34 to ride in, the gurrecks are fast enough to keep up while you travel to your missions. i had the same BE make me up some special Pet Stim D's 1500 heal all stats, with a crate of Ewid's Stim D's 930-56 and i can heal 3k damage relatively easy on the pets.

those 2 BE cats are tough enough that they have tanked krayts for me while hunting, though it took alot of stims to keep em up and going ofc and with my Krayt T-21 the loot was nice.

i wanted to try Doc and Swords out but no way i was tearing my character down so i moved to Starsider and have built a swords/doc there to play as my alt.

ill be a MR/MCH till the end i would imagine at least on Eclipse.

Send pet to hit lair, strafe2 the hell out of everything till the lair is gone, nothing will aggro me if I do it just right, so awsome

Indeed, master rifle/ch. was a tka, but I find rifle suits my play style better. I did keep the meditate line from tka. works well for me.

I have the master rifle master CH ranger tracking 3 template, and it works excellent for me tracking down wooly hide for my AS biz. And in my experience, if used properly, creatures can be very handy in all circumstances, you just gotta think a lil bit and use 'em right.

In PVP creatures are great distractions while you snipe at them being distracted by your two fambaas running around their ranks.

Against large creatures, a couple big pets will keep them off you while you hit them from a nice comfortable 60 meters away.

I think they work great, and it's also nice being able to make your own solo group with 3 pets and a droid.

Hi,

I'm a Master CH but I'm looking to have some Rifleman skill to be more effective in ranged combat. I like CH cause while my Rancor level 64 is my tank I can use headshot2 on creature.

If someone know a very good shop where I can buy a bowcaster on Kauri Server with descent damage and good speed not slice.Send me a mail plz.
