This is a thread on Kauri from a fellow rifleman. I am his RL friend and I can vouch for his word and he has put a lot of time and effort in this game. But he was finally screwed badly, losing a pre nerf rifleand 23 other ones hits hard on you especially when there is no explanation or anything.

This is truly terrible. I have seen her post on this thread numerous times. I totally understand her anger.

Here's a chance to step up and support a good riflewoman and a long-time member of our rifle community.

I agree. Most of the time I dont care about what happens to other players but when they are playing by the rules then they should be treated better. That CSR dosnt need to be working at SOE if they are just going to accuse ppl of just doing things like that without any proof. Klaw you should post this on the correspondent forum so TH or someone knows this happened since the CSRs are treating a paying/rule abiding customer like dirt. All it would take would be some compensation on SOEs behalf to fix that. IE just issue them about a mil or so credits to compensate the loss of their rifles. Plus they would need to give em back their Pre-nerf T21. Wouldnt take much effort on their behalf.

The CSR involved obviously knows little of the mechanics and history of the game. He claimed that there were no pre-Nerf T21s, which everyone knows is false. He obviously has no knowledge of the capabilities of the weapon in questionor of the damage range achievable pre and post nerf. He also obviously has little knowledge of the randomness of the results of slicing if he thinks that there would be no reason to have "unusual" quantities of a weapon type. He was toouninformed andtooquick to judgeon mere speculation with no realevidence.

In the "reality" of the game, Emperor Palpatine rules and the Imps can enter anyone's home they wish and declare a thing to be real simply because they say it is that way. But this was done to a real person, a person with rights. And SOE cannot simply take something away because they think it might be an exploit.

Klawenga, something has to be done about this outrage, or none of us are safe. I am frankly concerned that an individual, any individual, can, by fiat decree, deprive a player of irreplaceable, hard-earned, in-game rewards withoutproof, without notification, and without a chance to appeal.

What can be done to identify the CSR involved and rectify the problem?

Have your friend call the SOE line and talk to a supervisor. Call on the phone and not email. Then make sure he tells them that he believes that a CSR stole his items out of his house. Make sure he uses the term "stole". It's a legal term and may get their attention quicker. The laws vary by state but I doubt they make a distinction between "real" and "virtual" property. The laws aren't that up to date. Might not be valid but then again it may be.

This has to be addressed urgently. I have more than 20 T21 rifles too including some with outstanding stats and I don't think that this is something exceptional for a rifleman. If this CSR comes arround will he delete my stuff because he doesn't like my playstyle? This is just ridicilous!

**edit** that sounds like every democratic lugnut that has ever come down the pipe saying there is no reason for anyone to have guns in RL lol. why would anyone NEED a reason to have 23 T21s?!??!?!?? someone that is bringing that sort of attitude into a game and supposedly being a professional representative of sony should be fired. whether the T21s in question were exploited or not his reason for removing them was complete BS.

the only reason needed for having them should be "because i can"

if she wants two hundred and twenty three T21 and has the storage for em more power to her. fire that csr lugnut. he obviously was doing it because for a in game/rl friend as a favour. that is the sort of thing that goes on in EQ and if it is not stopped it will grow out of control. it almost ruined UO. TH better be reading this post and get in contact with the parties involved and dig out the truth but a CSR saying that a player needs a reason to own things in a game is idiotic.

I've heard of this too. Not sure what the issue is. So what if someone is "hoarding" resources. That person had to buy them or gather them. I don't know of any policy that says you can only keep resources around for X amount of days.

I'm also a Master Arch. I keep lots of resources around. Some of which I've had for months because they have very good stats and I use them sparingly or may sell at a profit later on. So what? As long as the resources aren't duped then what I choose to do with them isn't any of SOE's business.

This is totally wrong, I can think of a 1,000 reasons why I would stockpile armor, weapons, ect and now I gotta worry about some 18 yearold CSR with a power trip. This is just plain wrong and SOE better use corrective action against Customer Service Represntatives that do shotty customer service.

If in my past CSR jobsI were to baselessly accuse a customer of wrong doing I would be written up and 1 write up away from termination. SOE bettermove this punk to the phones and keep him/her off the servers.
