Am I the only one that thinks the stuff is hideous? Even the graphics on the official site have it looking far too cartoon-ish.
I know we can wear the Ubese, Tantel, & Mabari, but if the Alliance wants me to dress like that, I may have to switch sides (kidding, but still)...

The Rebel Battle armour makes ME want to switch sides to Rebel, heh, but don't tell the Imperial Inquisitors that.
That Reb Battle armour is sweet.

Although I'll likely go without the helmet, most times.
If you've ever seen Griffin ingame, you'll know that you can look cool in Marine Armour, so long as you leave off the helmet. More often, though, I won't be wearing armour at all, just good field clothes suited to the terrain. *plug Fred Skinner's paramilitary camo crusade*
Seriously, I see a lot of paramilitary camos and spec ops dusters in my future, colour-coordinated to the planet in question.

you know, those Imp Armors look a HELL of a lot better than what we've got, but the pure white, should incur a concealment penalty in all terran types except snow
gah, we need fashion dsigners on our side... did I just say that?

It appears that way - your three armour types have just been moved into the three overall categories - Reconnaisance, Battle and Assault. So you will only be able to wear one armour type, based on your Profession's certifications, and that armour's stats will be modified to fit into the other armour types in that category.. That said, you will be able to wear another Wook armour type if you have the certs for it from another profession...

okay, here's my issue: You should be able to wield any weapon, or wear any armor, without certification, but do so at a hideous penalty. Certification = Profeciency.
Am I crazy, or is this how it SHOULD be?

I do exactly that right now. I have three different sets of camo with pants and duster. Green for Dath, Yavin, Endor, etc, desert for Lok and Tat and a purple set for Dantooine.

I think of it this way. If Joe smoe picks up a rocket launcher off the street, if he hits someone, It's going to hurt just as much as if a Navy Seal fired it. Having sai that, it will probably take Joe Smoe 5 min to figure out how to fire it, unlickly as hell that he will mnage to hit someone with it, and if he does hit something, there is a not so small chance that it will be himself...

At least you have the option of wearing Ubese which I believe is the equivelent of recce armour if you don't like the Rebel recce or imp scout. As a wookiee I prefer the look of ceremonial which will be classified as reconnaissance so I'm happy.

I'm just hoping I can keep my Master Rifles/TKM template. Then I won't have to worry about looking good in armor.
Is that possible??
