Thread: Ummm yeah they REALLY fixed ceature warping...
I know the patch didn't completely rip it out:
"Removed "double movement speed" for creatures in Frenzy mode: this will reduce many instances of creature warping."
This happenned to me last night 3 times fighting Krayts......
Sent in the pet for a distraction, stacked some bleeds onto the dragon then ran to 100-110 meters away, READ 100-110 METERS AWAY.
I standing there and the next thing that happenned is my toon ends belly up on the ground with the message "you have been incappacitated by a Krayt dragon" "you have been slain by a Krayt dragon" Huh?? I look at my HUD....dragon is still fighting my pet 110 meters away......then, just as i'm given the option to choose my cloning location the dragon appears over my body. Very interesting....this happenned to me 3 times in a row last night. If you can't rely on your on screen indicators to relay information to you, how are you supposed to play the game? I know this a rant/whine and we all know that warping is ridiculous but it just really frustrating as of late. Sry I just wanted to bitch and moan a bit.
Is anyone having warping issues this bad? And when I think of it, its not even the warping issue the frustrates me, its the inability for the tools im given to correctly relay information to me. I mean my HUD told me I was slain while displaying the dragon at 110 meters away.....how am I supposed to know that the dragon is on top of me?
Yes they do indeed. I hunt them all the time....but last night was just frustrating when the same prob happenned to me 3 times in a row. When your HUD tells you one thing and something else entirely is happenning (in this case, my death) then something here needs to be addressed. How am I supposed to know something that shows up on my screen as being 100 meters away is in fact on top of me eating me for lunch? Had I known it was coming at me I might have.....umm, lets see......moved out the way? I died and the dragons was targeted as being 110 meters away from me, while in fact, he was right on top of me........invisible to me........thats the bottom line problem. It needs to seriously be addressed.
Also, just thinking this thru.....warping was supposed to occur to move baddies thru objects that hang them up.....in these cases there was nothing between me and the dragon but barren dessert sand. Complete BS
The reason why the Krayt teleported is because of the new Krayt AI I observed... Warping has stopped FOR Canyon Krayt Dragons and Juvenile Canyon Krayt Dragons...
HOWEVER...
Its not warping but an AI change in Giant Canyon Krayts, Ancients, and any other of the harder varieties... Using 2 graul maulers, me and my ranger friend applied only bleeding shots... after pets were properly hitting target... the Giant Krayt turned on us... and it didn't warp, but its speed was amazing.. in seconds it was on us.. with only using 1 bleeding shot...
I got slain once till we found a way to properly fight it was me hitting my first bleed, having it agress me with 2 graul maulers smacking it around and before it got to me, have my partner 64m away hit it with his bleed and it change onto him, then before it hit him, having me apply my second bleed and then getting incapped.. then just left the thing alone...
I like this change in AI b/c it means Giant Krayts are no longer solo-able like they used to be... regular canyons are as easy as ever... but the Giants are really cool to fight now... so all of you solo artists out there like me, hope you take notes because I hate to have you learn the hard way like I did ![]()

You are right, the ones I was fighting were giants. BUT....what it was doing was focusing on my mauler, then it would use a KD special to put my mauler on the floor then would aggro me....BUT only if I was actively shooting it, or a mind bleed ticked off while the mauler was KD'd. I found that if I sent in the mauler then applied stacked mind bleeds then peaced and ran a good distance away, for the most part i would remain safe (save for the magic warping) Through all my furstrations last night I did manage to kill 6 giants by myself and mauler though it took me alot longer than normal (thx to 3 different trips back from Taike's cloning center lol)
So even if you're 100+ meters away and ur pet goes down and all of a sudden u see ur combat window light up, RUN!! Burst if you can cuz that Krayt will be crawling up ur a$$ momentarily...100+ meters out or not.

My friend who was with me saw it run up to me while I saw it teleport... I kept getting tells of, "RUN REENA RUN!" and by the time I realized that she was saying that, the krayt was on me
I think its connection speed that causes this warp problem with Giant Krayts only... because I watched it run to her, but when it runs to me, it jumps... ![]()
But regular krayts are regular krayts
I can blast at them all day... and even without the KD, the krayt ignored both my maulers adn came at me... so maybe I can't see the KD or maybe the AI just got fun to play with, but you have to admit, it makes fighting a lot more fun... risky... and aboveall dangerous...
BUT!!! WHAT I LOVE THE MOST ABOUT NEW KRAYT AI!!!
Hehe... commandos? what you going to do when a 65m long krayt eats you ![]()
If they AI tragets me at 64m... how long you think a Commando with a flamer will last at 17m... haha

BTW, i'm thinking that they also changed the looting scheme of the dragons when it comes to tissue. In the past 2 days i've prolly killed 40 dragons of all shapes and sizes (still havent met up with an ancient yet though) and I've been getting mostly segs and scales with an occasional pearl thrown in. Out of all the dragons killed I've only looted 2 sets of tissues.....maybe just coincidence or bad luck on my part. Maybe you have the same issue since it seems like you kill alot of dragons as well.
I have a storage house over flowing with scales and segments that no armorsmiths want.....I end up selling them all on thebazzar for 3k a pop
Oh well, but ur right, fighting giants is a lot more challenging now.
It is still a problem on the small stuff too. I was 60m from a narglatch (Naboo) and had my buddy run towards it shooting. As soon as I headshot it...BAMdead. I never even had time to put on my armor (I didn't have it on, since my buddy was in between the Narg and I, and had aggroed it) or to switch off my rifle to avoid the melee penalty. Fun, fun, fun.
