Any elite class can solo plainswalkers by themselves while watching TV. If you start soloing krayts while watching TV, then maybe we have a problem.

Against higher level things, occasionally they will get a random bleed and come after you. Conceal shot is one of the most boring moves in the game. It is almost as boring as the good old bleed and feign death trick.

I'm not going to say it's too powerful... but I am going to say it doesn't make much sense!

"The following story is based (very, very loosely) on actual events..."

New Rebel Joe, hunting down corellian butterfiles with his sliced CDEF,gets stopped by the empire and asked to remain where he is so he can be searched for contraband. Joe, scared and unsure of about what to is unfold, decides to make a run for it. A call for backup is issued and shortlyten Stormtroopers show up and quickly dispatch Rebel Joe.

So now there are ten stormtroopers standing around bored in a Corellian field admiring the flutter of the fauna, discussing amongst themselves the relative merits of white armor vs. dark armor. Meanwhile, Covert Rebel Wayne is heading towards his house to load up on more contraband. Suddenly, ten closely-grouped yellow dots show up on his overhead map in a tight 5x2 formation. Instantly recoginizing the Faction Point present, Wayne dismounts 70m from them, takes his Vasarian Brandy, puts on a little armor, and equips his highest damage rifle.

Going prone at 64m and crawling to 60m away, Wayne carefully takes aim and presses the Conceal Shot trigger numerous times....

Stormtrooper TK-655: "Hey Look.... VK-333 just fell over dead!LMAO! Hey, VK-441, how did that little party you have last week go?"
VK-441: "It was great, sorry you couldn't make it, 655.... Hey! 655, there's a bullet hole in your chestplate!"
TK-655: "What? No way... I just had it fixed last week."
VK-441: "No, seriously.. right there..." 441 sticks his finger in 655's bullet hole and wriggles it around.
VK-441: "And look, now there's another one over here in your helmet!"
TK-655: "Damm.. I have to go have a word with my Armorsmith. I bribed a lot of officers for this armor!"

At that moment, Stormtrooper TK-655 keals over dead.
VK-441: "That655... what a kidder"

A few minutes later, VK-441 looks around and see's nine dead stormtroopers all around him.
"Well, I guess that squad dinner next Tuesday is off now. ROFL!"

I wouldn't say it's too powerful, it's slow, it has a low damage multiplier, it's a random pool attack and has a fairly high HAM cost. It's a good tool that we can use in the right situation, though I do agree with Wayne in that the AI of NPC's should probably be changed a little.. If you're taking out a group of NPC's and you kill one you would think the others would notice and not just stand there.. heh.. once the first one drops dead the others should notice and start scanning the area for an enemy, now that would be cool!

Sure you can conseal anything to death if you want but it will also take FOREVER!

Shortly after making Master Rifleman, I decided to see how fast I could kill things. In a situation not unlike what "Wayne" (apparently no one we know ) experienced, but long before the crackdown, I came across a random spawn of NPCs who were the members of an unnamed, shall we say, "kingdom-like" organization, all standing around discussing the "king's" lastest edicts against another unnamed organization to which I belong.

So I pulled out my rifle and went prone, making sure I was 60m from the nearest ...uhh..."Weather Soldier" and even further from the others in his group. I queued up a bunch of headshots, ready to stand up and run for my life as soon as the third or fourth shot rang out, but after about 6 shots, his head exploded, and he fell to the ground. To my amazement, they did not even interrupt the flow of converstation. So I setup again, and the same thing happened. The third time, I did not bother trying to get the most isolated one, but, rather, took a guy right out of the midst of them. Nothing. So one-by-one, I dropped them all, and never once did anyone take offense.

Now, I figured this was probably due to the fact that, in this particular organization, people often drop dead for noobvious reason, especially around a certain dark-clad person who shall likewise remain nameless. Therefore, people's heads exploding unexpectedly probably does not phase them much.

I bring this up because it illustrates that you can drop things in a crowd even with normal shots without attacting attention. Therefore, it is not just Concealshot that does this, only that Concealshot can sustain this phenomenon longer.

Besides, if the concern is that you can use Concealshot to solo higher level mobs, well, so can any elite class. Using my Master Swordsman/Master Brawler skills, I regularly beat the crap out of 5 enraged rancors simultaneously, and often do not have to heal myself for more than 50 damage or so when the dust settles. Granted, Iam usuallybuffed, but I do not wear ubber armor by any stretch of theimagination. And I have walked away from such encounters with no wounds, no BF and no damage. Heck,I have had as many as 7 of them on me at once, and had to go chase down two of them when they ran away from the butt-whoopin' I was unleasing on them. I could do the same thing with Concealshot and walk away with exactly the same results. So the ability to kill things with little or no risk is not unique to our class. And people in other professions discuss soloing Krayts and other top mobs, the same kinds of mobs you can kill with Concealshot, a lot of patience, and a little luck.

Also as mentioned, random bleeds or misses can break the conceal. I have tried killing NS elders on a couple of occasions only to have the random bleed get me noticed and killed.

So since the game does not allow for one-shot sniping of anything significant, I do not think the fact that you can Concealshot somethingover a long time period without being noticed is that big of a deal. It, more than any other shot we have, gives the feel for sniping. We simply trade one-shot, one-kill for extra time and higher HAM costs. Besides, it is not perfect, and, therefore, not without risk. So, no, it is not "too good."

You can kill low lvl creatures much faster. Today I was riding around and out came a full group of storm commandos. So I whipped out me T21 and spammed Flushing Shot 2, yea they were dead in about 30 seconds but thats because they spread out after half of em dropped, so I had to single em out. Conceal is great for things like Krayts though.

I think that the detect chance should be raised. I was testing this shot out, and found that I got no xp for using it, and when I dropped a Force Renegade with it, he disappeared, so no loot or xp

But that seems pretty fair to me.

So yeah, it is pretty powerful, but the downside is no loot and no xp. I wouldn't cry too loudly if they made it fail a little more often, just to keep it interesting.

Under advice of my lawyer, I strongly disavow any knowledge of this event.
