Thread: where can i loot a good rifle?

mine suck and i need a new REALLY good one...any tips on where i should go to find one?

I suggest just buying a good high damage sliced one or a krayt one. Looting will take you a very very very long time for any luck what so ever to even LOOT one and not even a good one.

i loot rifles all the time, cdef's... the only profession that actully frequently loots their own weapons are pikemen... my t-21's are base 404 max dam.. sliced it goes over 500 max pretty easy... wpu max/min and everything dies fast...
or kill a bunch of dragons get yourself 11 ident 100+ max dam tissues and get one made (not tellin the stats on that one but i got a 33 dam slice 
) just use a 12 pt MWS and you're all set

It kills me. I can't tell you how many people /tell me "Hey want to go hunting Nightsisters I want to loot a uber T-21..."
I just /sigh and then get on my speeder and ride off when they die from thinking they could tank an Elder...
Try to find a Damage Sliced rifle with a Powerup. They can get over 700.

Buy a rifle. Check the trade boards for your galaxy and look for the most popular weaponsmiths; they generally will offer the best product and usually at a decent price (otherwise they wouldn't be popular). You MIGHT loot an exceptional T21 from a Nightsister Elder, but you'll more than likely die in the process unless you've got a 15+ hunting party with a mix of elite professions. And even then, if the Exceptional Rifle drops...you really think your hunting party is just going to give it up? The weapon will likely be lottoed, so there's still a chance you won't get it.
Point is, great rifles can be purchased from in-game weaponsmiths. Looting a really good rifle is an act of sheer luck.

lol tommotx you have to have 15+ jst to kill a ns elder heh on bloodfin a master bralwer master swordsman can solo everything in the game with ease so i dotn no whats wrong with your server

Behind the starport in Tyrena, sometimes a meatlump buffoon with a warm hat spawns who gives uber T21s. There has been reports of sightings of a rare spawn ofa meatlumps wearing hotpants, who drop legendary ones
The trick is to get somewhat close to them, do a /dance while naked (for the loot gods to acknowledge your presence), then proceed to the kill. Of course, being meatlumps we're talking about, you'll quickly have to equip your 80% kinetic armor, pop 2 brandies, synthsteak and wear a PSG.

I and a Swordsman killed an Elder. It took two sessions (speeder away I mean) but we did it fine.

with a combo like MRifle/Doc and a Sword/Rifle... or a MRifle/TKM and MRifle/MSwords and the rest of the SP in med for ya both... even better a Doc/MCH and you with rifles/Meleeyou can tank most anything in the game... its all about the templates used... on the otherhand a group of like pistols/tka/carbines/bh/commando will have a tough time cause really only one prof is doin damage... i've always looked at the mob i want to hunt and changed my profs accordingly...
take dragons for instance... i've hunted with every group around and also solo... i've outdamaged groups of 20 cause the highest damage dealer was a commando (i asked if they wanted help and i asked if i could get an invite first)... was told to go ahead and plink away (its health was about 1/4 dead) and they were already reviving ppl... i took its mind out before they got the health to half... the best hunting partner i ever had was a doc/MCH with me MRifle/MCH/wannabe ranger... 10 mins for regular krytes, 20 or so for the big ones...
all of this was done with a damage t21 with a 30% dam slice from the local MWS (WPU's go away to fast to really be of much use)...
