Thread: Can i solo a krayt?

im 4440 fencer, m rifle m brawler. oh yeah and 0040 medic lol. im almost capped on both ranged and melee def, and wear plenty of war/ int clothes. can i handle a krayt with this?

I kill giants unbuffed. Master rifles/master weaponsmith/artisan 4444/merchant 0002. As you can see its the uber PVP PVE template that allows me to do this.

yes, just intimidate and put mind bleed on it, then headshots till either of those run out and repeat, you'll be fine. only agains giant canyons or lower level though, ancients are bad dont do ancients.

If you're patient, you can solo a Giant Krayt with just Master Rifleman, assuming it doesn't despawn on you. Ancients are beyond your capabilities...

I take it your using weapons with DOTS on them to solo giants as Rifleman? Or you have enough medic to use Stim Cs or better?

nope - in fact dots would make it harder to solo a Giant

Read my message that i posted...that say er... "How to kill a giant krayt as a rifleman" maybe that will answer your question.

well if you are purely soloing without brawler etc. conceal shot is your best bet correct?


if conceal breaks (which it does as soon as a dot lands) then it becomes harder to kill as you need a straight up fight at that moment.


Of course if you are a Commando or a brawler it would help but as a "Pure" rifleman it would be made more difficult.

Dots for PvE are pointless and a waste. Mind bleed comes from Mindshot2. My template is a secret, but I can take down Giant Krayts in about 2 minutes solo. Its all about the intimidate. Without that, Rifleman cannot solo krayts.

Completely disagree. ^_^


I do it all the time without any brawler in my template. Of course it is not my first choice but when the buffs pop on the tank I keep hunting while he is off buffing (even hunt them unbuffed ^_^) I can usually kill 4-7 juvies or 1 canyon in the time it takes him to find buffs.

Erm..Whats a pure rifleman? someone who has master rifles and about 150 points left over?...It 's a template that uses Rifleman to kill and something else to help defenses.
