Thread: From SpeedCapped Rifleman to Master Dueler, how?

best thing you can do is stun, then shoot then. Stun cuts their ranged and melee defense in half.
Picking up xxx4 marksman might be a good idea to. Its gives you a ranged osture down attack. Dizzy them with rifles then do the posture down, when hes down, stun him. Spam headshot3 with a nice jawa.

Because pvp isn't just spamming hs3. Its knowing who to shoot when. When to run, when to stand your ground. Oh and rifleman gotcrap defences we are almost 100% to get hit from melee for holding a rifle so.. pick up some else.

Your biggest issue is actually hitting your target. When I pvp i'm never scared of ranged prof's 1v1- cuz i'm a defense stacking whore... Try devouring some +accuracy food, and check your weapon's- use whichever one has the best range mods. The other issue for you will be to stay away from melee types- they can't hit you if they arent near you. When i'm in fencer mode and people keep running from me i typically have to switch to rifle. Hope this helps a bit.

Getting close to a TKM, or meleer in general,is bad news for ariflemen unless you have doc in your template for the heal states. In 1 on 1 duels using a rifle, you have to kite - stay outside that 20m lunge2 range at all costs. Getting within range, unless you're lucky, means you're dying unless you can heal your states and get back up after they inevitably put you on your back.
Foods: When dueling a meeleer, I ideally have travel biscuits (terrain negotiation)hot-keyed, parwan nutricake(burst run) hot-keyed, and exo-protein wafers (5 filling dmg reduction food) hot-keyed, a canape, as well as botha pixi and a muon. Before a duel I have consumed2 brandies, a pikatta pie (def bonus), a citros snow cake (accuracy bonus),deadeye serum (+50 accuracy) and synthsteak eaten and already digested (dmg reduction food).
I always try to start duels from at least 20 meters to start with - keep that as a minimum range and never get closer - if you get them to challenge you to the duel, you can walk away till you're at that range and then accept the duel. I always start with a 130 range modded dxr6 equipped powered up with a range mod powerup.I start by runing away from the meleerlike a little girl hitting flurryshot2 hoping to get adizzy to stick (and I never stop running till the duel is over). If they have already gotten in a burst run, I burst run and switch to flushing shot2. If they don't use their burst run and the dizzy sticks, I switch to flushingshot2 until the stun sticks. If I can't get either the dizzy or the stun, or both to stick I immediately go to DOTs and continue to kite. If both the dizzy and the stun stick, then I continue on with the dxr6 equipped with headshot3's.
Oh, and when you beat someone at a duel and they tell you, "No fair, you can't heal in a duel" or "Quit running you sissy" or "Stupid riflemen can't fight toe to toe like a man", just laugh and agree. Then ask them if they want to duel again only with deathblow at the end and see if they agree. It always cracks me up when folks start listing the rules, "No healing, no dots, no kd, no intimidate, no kiting". Why don't you just come out and tell me that I can't use the skills I invested skill points in, but you can use the skills you invested skill points in? Hehe, alright, 'bout enough from me.

Well Rifle/Doc is definitly something you should look into.. its pretty powerfull combo considering u dont have to worry about KD/Dizzy Poisen/disease/fire and u can do considerable mind dmg from a distance. I dont agree with some of the post that say u HAVE to kite or you'll get killed, i dont think thats true at all(just eat some canape or muon if ur desperate, and keep healing yourself
. Also if your hardcore rifleman, build up your accy... the more accurate u are the less likely opponents are to dodge/counter/block. And stun is really overlooked IMO.

Im a speedcapped rifleman, but I get my a$$ handed to me by TKA's(and others)in pvp constantly, and I cant figure out why, I dish out tons of damage with headshot3, about 2400 a shot, a second, why do I keep dieing in PVP?
Please post what you use AFTER full buffs and mind buffs from ents
Ideas iv had, getting a Kryat/sliced Jawa
Stun Resistant Comp armor
For food/drink, sence youv already got double mind you should have some extra space, should I use the dodge food or accuracy food?
Iv got MCH as my backup(from like 4 months ago lol), does that have ANY potential use in a pvp match?

No, BH and Commando have crap defences, rifleman is pretty good in comparison
Their basic defense is lower - but the rifleman have a melee attack mod that allows rifleman to be targetted and hit much more frequently under exactly the same conditions . Meleer's get a bonus to hit vs rifle

Thats what i was refering too. But it is better then that 2.5x penelty we got.

i'm a master rifleman/master doctor, and i say it works wonders. in one on one duels, i can murder tka's so easily becuz i've attainedNOVICE brawler, then i warcry at the start of the duel (spam macro) and then dump and clear the combat queue (both on macros) and i use intimidate 1 while i have the chance, then run away and kite em. with the intimidate on, they are considerably weaker, and on some occasions, when they intim/dizzy/stun/whatever me, i can always heal state after i warcry em
and of course, stunning them is very useful as an opening shot after the warcry
btw, my weapon of choice is usually the t-21, i have a 721 max damage (p-up/34% damage sliced from 405 max, i think) and the heavy armor piercing is just godly, i love it. chances are, in duels, the opponent has a good stun resist, but not so much on energy
grab yourself one of those and ur good to go

hmmm to have all that you would need 59 more skill points then any other player in the game has....

hmmm to have all that you would need 59 more skill points then any other player in the game has....
what he said works just as well with novice brawler . i am 4 4 4 0 doc / master rifle / novice brawler / novice scout . intimidate is essential against dodge stackers , and the terrain negotiation from scout helps kite . ideally i should drop the line in doc that lets me buff in favour of 0 0 0 4 marksmen for the posture change attack , but i like ahving the ability to buff myself and friends without any hassles .
