It is generally understood by the doc community that mind will just fall in line with health and action as a healable pool. Not sure how this is going to be implemented, but Lets not start freaking out now eh?

CM's are like nukes. You have them just incase you need them, but as soon as you start using yours the other guys start using theirs and everything goes to hell

not like healing mind is gonna help too much. you can only heal once every couple of secs. that should be more than enough time to wipe it out.

Think about what that means, and then decide if it even sounds logical.
That implies that they would remove MindShots 1 and 2 and HeadShots 1 and 2.

Sorry, I'll have to hear it from a Dev.

I'd suggest perhaps you relax a bit and check out the Test Center forum and the Dev Posts about the current TC patch notes. I don't recall seeing any mention of the removal of 8 specials (don't forget Swordsmen) from the game in those notes.

The source of this rumor is a poorly worded and even more poorly interpreted quote in which they (the Devs) said that mind would be removed as a "special damage type" in order to make all pools equal with regard to damage from attacks and special moves. People read "special damage type" to mean "damage done by specials." But if you read the quote (which I will not repeat here because this subject has been rehashed over and over again) and keep in mind what they have already shown us with regard to HAM usage from specials, the only reasonable intrpretation -- in context -- isthat they are going to make HAM usage from specials unhealable on all pools (we have already seen this) and make damage to all pools healable. This would mean making mind more healable than it is now. If nothing else, since they said that they want to handle damage to all pools equally, they cannot remove mind as a type of damage done by specials without also removing health and action as damage done by specials, and there was nothing in the quote that even hinted at removing all pool specific targeting "special damage types." In context, "special" means handled differently, not "special abilities."

Therefore, your source, if he was going by the afforementioned quote, was not reliable, and this rumor keeps popping up because people do not bother reading all of what was, admittedly, a confusing and poorly worded quote from the Devs. Please do not continue to spread this rumor as even if you could interpret it that way, it is completely unconfirmed and unsupported.

I can heal every 2 seconds or so, and my stims (stim D, E heals 3k+ on a good one)heal for 2k on average. So that is infact a big step up from stim b healings. Master Docs (myself included) can heal a fully buffed pool from 0-3k in one go with a good stim. My mind hovers around 3k most of the time (buffs/brandy) and secondaries even higer than that. It will be good for us, but bad for CMs if this is the way it works (CMs are the only ones with MInd heal ATM) But wont diminish the power of mind attacks, just increase the need to be prepared. As a swordsman, my Headhit3 is affected, but I dont encounter that many master docs in combat, so I dont worry much about it. But I agree, it is somethig to keep an eye on. (yes I am in YOUR forum, but hey, we both do mind damage, and I like to keep up on your techniques to help out my rifleman friends)

My reliable souce was hanging out behind the 7-11 and he was drunk at the time, but I still consider him reliable.

From what I'm hearing might be giving out Mind stim packs soon. I've not heard anything of "nerfing" mind attacks.
