Hi there, I am a Master Rifleman from Tarq server, now that Im master I've been looking around for the best possible weapons...infact opening my own Rifle speciality shop also..

Anyways I just wanted to start this topic, so we could all post up some tips on creating a great gun.

Here is what I know of what to gather for a great rifle

--Krayt Tissue--

--Scopes/Stocks/etc--

-Rancor Teeth--

-Good Wep Power Ups--

it seems

Dlt20a only requires 1 Tissue

Laser Rifle Req 4

Jawa Rifle req 5 ?

Anyone know the others? i know t-21 req 11 but who cares its **edit** and my server has never had it anyway .

Okay so krayt tissue is good, and now what about Barrels/Stocks/Scopes I didnt even know about these till now, can anyone explain how they work and what profession makes them im guessing Wep Smith for all of them.

There is also Rancor Teeth which ive looted before, pretty nice item was over +50 max dmg all though i heard these only work on Melee weapons ? can anyone confirm this.

33% max dmg power up seems to be the biggest you can get...these are very common easy stuff dont think we need to go over these ..but knowing if its possible to have Max dmg and reduced mind cost power up would be cool ..

the highest damage rifle ive ever had was ... 698 max damage laser Rifle ..im sure a lot of you have topped that but im intrested to hear what you have come up with !

good thread, too bad im corbantis server =( anyways rancor teeth is for swords. T21 is not worth using 11 krayt tissues as only 1 affects the stats =( the feeder mechanism drops from nym people on lok give an extra +30 dmg which can be combined with krayt tissue which ranges from 30-99 dmg. i find it horrorific that pistols are getting created to have max dmgs into the 400-500s thats better then most laser rifles =(

A great slice is greater than ALL!

I bought a Kryat Adv. Laser with a scope -- with power up Max/Min it was 100 - 750 speed was 5.8(HAM you ask .. well it was 113)

Obviously this is a bleed gun NOT a hunting gun.

Two days later I am talking to one of my three main master weapon smiths (he sells pre-sliced lasers) and I beg him to set me aside a good slice.

Sure he says.

Next day I get an email from him telling me he has a 96 - 569 laser for me.

This is not a kryat or I dont even think advanced componets. With power up its 114 - 766 (I think -- going from memory here -- ask me on Intrepid if you want to know exact stats)

Mind is 89... Still a bleed gun.. BUT the slice is what makes a gun great or average...

By the way...the weapon smith on the second gun wanted to charge me 25k. I had to give him an extra 10k tip...just because he held it for me and it was such a great gun.

I have bought awesome guns...to have them speed slice and be worthless to me.

I have bought semi crappy weapons that were presliced when I got them ... that were semi decent weapons.

After buying 18 weapons and having 16 of them slice speed I no longer buy weapons unless they are presliced. Thank god Intrepid has 3 weapons smiths that pre sliced their weapons!

The thing that makes the perfect weapon is the best slice ... a gun with plus 60 tissue in it is worth less if it slices 19 percent where as a gun without slices 30 percent.

Anyway..my two cents.

I think its any guy with Nym in his name. IE: Nym's Pirate, Nym's housekeeper, Nym's Poolboy etc etc

And if you making a PvP gun, follow Aldeon's template in his "ohh so pissed" post. That thing will destroy in PvP

Oh and I've had 2 of the lasers I bough sliced last night, ya crappy 30% speed? Who cares aboput speed! I want me some Damage.

rancor teeth are a suppliment for a sword's core.

it is a melee only power up, pretty sure only for swords.

to be more accurate I think its two handed curved swords.

Friggin lame, what you have to do is:

A) Ask the person doin slicing to take off any kinda armor

B) they need to be sitting

C) Pray to your gods cause thats the only thing that seems to help with slicing.

LoL I did manage to trade one of the guns that got a speed bump to a guy for a laser that had a little slice on it, max damage 420 WHOO HOO

I couldn't believe my luck with a 33% damage slice. Anywho I deleted the crafters name because he said he couldn't do it that good again and didn't want alot of tells and emails.

It wasn't the resources, but he said it was something random about the the parts and the combine, but I don't really understand it.

Lucky guy all the same, lol plus were a server with out the t-21, so were stuck with good old lasers that top out at 357 on adverage.
