Thread: Top 6 Major Issues
This next report will be what they respond to If I understand there system correctly. So It needs to pretty much be our top 6 issues of the month. Ill be using my personal as a Rifle issue, becuase of only 1 a month.
1.)No matter what, Im puting in pistol accuracy vs rifle accuracy.
2.) T21 bieng broken, Im hoping this will get fixed sooner then alter, but its going in in case they dont fix it.
Go ahead and fill in what you think the rest should be, but as of right now, those 2 issues are the major concern of all Rifleman.
I really would have hoped they fixed the T21 in the patch, but oh well. That and the range issue are my two gripes. Since they are taking suggestions from what I read on other professions forums. How about a sling and auto storing my rifle in it after so long. I don't mean unequiping it, just have it get worn on my shoulder.
How about a master specific rifle. I am along way away from it, but a new elite gun would be a nice option to show that you are a master.

HAM penaltys for Rifle Specials. There a little on the high side now. I don't want to be able to SPAM Headsot2 over and over but i'd like to be able to combine a few specials and have enough to do a quick heal and a burst run if needed

Cover needs to give much greater benefit. As it is all the logs I've looked at say that cover doesn't do anything... Ridiculous when we have a whole line revolving around. Even more ridiculous is that we have an entire countersniping line revolving around STRIPPING it from other snipers. I mean **edit**? Fixing cover to be something worth being in will help both the trash lines countersniping and concealment.
Knockdowns? We get no knockdowns(fine), we get no defense vs knockdowns(hmmm.) but knockdown is more deadly than anything we can do at range and the description of master rifleman says they are most deadly long range. We should have a significant advantage over other ranged professions at greater than 45-50m. But as it is, knockdown dominates everything at every range, a ranged attack that we neither have ourselves or have any defense against. This does not sound like the "deadlist long range profession" that is given for master rifleman.
That stutter step? Did that get fixed? I havent played much after this patch. but that gawd **edit** stutter step has killed me more than anything else. I'm referring to the 3 second delay when switching guns or the initial attack on something.
Is it dumb luck that T-21s seem to be the rarest make-able elite weapon?? It seems like many servers still don't have the ability to make T-21s, and disproportionately compared to the other elites(again, that's my experience and from what I've read.) I would like to do a poll of on this.
Oh. And don't get your hopes up about getting anything better than the T-21. After the AP gets fixed, I don't think we could ask for a better gun. I'm actually scared right now at the prospect of them introducing more guns. You know what's going to happen, since 90% of their player base uses a pistol because it is unbalanced, they are going to be giving up some killler pistols-- bet on it.
Those are things bugging me that I can think of off the top of my head. Maybe suggest something regarding postions giving defense vs knockdowns since at master level accuracy seems to be no importantance. Like 25% knockdown resist when kneeling, 50% when prone, etc.
Im all for lower HAM costs, as it is I run out of HAM in like 30 seconds of Head Shots maybe less.
1) Pistol vs Rifle accuracy at greater than 45m.
2) T21 is broken.
3) No AP bonus for hitting a player wearing no armour. (Unless this has been fixed.)
4) Woud like to see some more defensive bonuses on the rifleman tree.
5) Getting knockdown while prone andchain spamming knockdown using spices/food.
6) HAM cost for the higher end rifles, it currently costs me too much mind to use my laser rifle with a mind cost of 59. HS2 is 88, HS3 is 128!, MS1 is 107 and MS2 88. Maybe add a 30% drop in ham usage as a bonus to master rifleman?
HAM costs should be a focus for a simple reason: specials are the only way we can be assured of capitalizing on the 'advantage' we have in battle. As Q stated in his responses yesterday, our advantage is the ability to do unhealable damage. This 'advantage' is only consistently accessable through the use of specials.
I'm concerned because in a number of forums yesterday, Q stated that it was never the intent of the game to allow players to spam specials. So, if I understand the logic accurately, it goes something like this:
A) The rifleman's combat advantage is the ability to inflict unhealable damage;
B) The rifleman must use special moves to consistenly inflict such damage;
C) It was never intended for players to string together a series of special moves; therefore
D) It was never intended that rifleman could consistently access their combat advantage.
Along the same lines, that BH eyeshot needs to be removed in PvP. I'm all for them having it to run their missions against NPCs. For that matter, they can blast mobs to death with eyeshot for all I care. However, if the infliction of unhealable damage is the rifleman's 'unique' advantage, why is that same advantage granted (at a higher refire rate) to a class that also has ranged knocked down, health bleed, and action bleed moves?
