Does anyone else think this really shouldn't be a rifle? Dont get me wrong, i love the thing, without it i dont know how i could level my rifelman, just kinda of odd that someone put something with stats like that as a rifle.

So..... whats it look like? When I first saw it I thought, hey cool, shotgun on its side. Turns out its this little stick... with green bolts... more like a pistol... I'm going to stop talking now.... any time now....

The trip up the Rifleman tree is not a speedy one. In the beginning, everything you shoot at ends up in your face. Until I bought a spraystick, every fight ended with me pulling a Scout Blaster to finish it before dieing. Stayed alive, but rifle xp suffered. That is why spraysticks should stay in the game.

We should fight to keep it, regardless if it's energy instead of Acid. I've seen some around350 damage 1.6 speed with slice and power up. They are not highly use but, with the weapon balance on the table it could mold into an interesting addition to our arsenal.

I've gotten TH into that problem again, check out the In Live Roundtable for this week.

Click here for proof that the Devs hate Riflemen. And here's the kicker! (Seperate thread)

DVader539 I read it....

The correspondents and I have looked at this many times. Sorry, but its not an easy change. Damage types have a relationship to damage and by changing the damage type, it also changes the damage modifiers (numbers) and throws them out of whack. This is something Im checking to see if we can address in the weapon balance part of the larger combat balance, but I don't know what the answer might be. And in any event, concentrating on these minor things before the weapon balance isn't productive. We'll want to look at things when the combat balance is on TC.

They know how we feel as a majority, I'll be crossing my fingers for the weapon balance.

I always thought the spraystick should be changed to a different weapon type, but kept in rifleman. Give it different specials, and make 1 tree out of rifleman be "up-close confrontations" or something. 'cause, y'know, all people carrying rifles have a sidearm, but it's a completely different type of weapon.
