Well, if the guy is JUST TKM, he'll only have +30 to defense versus posture change, so supression may work.

But most TKM's like to stack with other melee professions, and its not too tough to get a Super-Brawler with like +90 defense versus posture change. Unless you know this guy is also a crafter or a doc or something, I'd play it safe and take 2 extra shots at the Mindpool instead.

[edit]

looked it up, 0300 TKA and 0400 Fencer will net you +80 defense versus posture change. FYI

So at +80 what is his actual ability to resist the change..40%? 80%? Anyone have the answer..heh heh. If it was 40%..and you fire at once per sec..might still be very worth it to posture change..as can probably have success at it in just a few shots/seconds.

Oh, I'm master rifles, tkm, and fencer 0400. I feel like this thread was designed just for me!

I have +70 defense vs kd, +80 defense vs posture change (down), and +40 defense vs. dizzy. Using any type of posture against me produces nothing but hysterical laughter, as I decide the most entertaining way to destroy you. Seriously, someone had a great insight, use the dizzy attack to keep me from burst running. After I'm dizzy, head shot 3, and head shot 3 only. You're only going to have a few attacks against a tkm before they either can't catch up, or reduce you to rubble. So, if you have limited attacks, you have to make them count, and getting meto not be able toburst run so you can kite is probably you only chance.Praythey don't get within 20m of you, orthey get to use lunge 1, and if you kneel, you're dead. I would take some thaktillo(sp?), the anti-kd food too, becuase tkms like me love to use kd/dizzy combos to watch you flail helplessly as we get a 50% damage boost when you're flopping.

Quick question guys...

I am well on the road to being Master Doc Master Rifle. How would I stack up against a MTKA? Any tips on this?

You'll be ok, take some accuracy-food if you can, and stay AT LEAST 30 meters away from them. Use Burst run, and try to dizzy them, (they can't burst run if dizzy).

If you have novice brawler try to intimidate them.

TKM's are pretty tough, as a master riflman/master swordsman I slap the mindas they close (while I run away mind you) and when they get into melee range I switch to my Scythe. Without master swordsman, I might try to keep some of the burstrun food on you,I forget whatits called, and use it to kite them, or group with a squad leader and have him shout retreat.

Thanks for the replies all.

I can certainly see from everyones posts that I definately without a doubt need to stay as far as possible.

Would you agree that I should use burst run and use accuracy enhancing food to keep my distance?

Use Flurry shot first, then suprresion if ya got it. If not, Burst run, get him stunned, and Mangle his mind.

Make a macro with

/stand;

/curestate dizzy

And SPAM it like theres no tommorrow if ya get KD'd.
