Here's my problem when soloing Elders, I stand 64 m away, do my conceal macro and one of those hits causes a bleed (with 347K of Ham, it's bound to happen). At that time I usually /dump and /peace but then she aggros me anyway, I run away, hitting peace, and eventually she peaces. Here's my problem, after she peaces, she walks back to her original spot, but if I get within even 100m she aggros me..causing me to run away more. Eventually when she starts walking back I lose her, and when I go back to the original spawn, a new Elder is there undamged....How do you cope with the bleed you cause?! I've only been able to solo 2 Elders, being luckly not causing a bleed.

Any help?

I've never tried to use concealshot myself as I find that to take up too much time. What I do...I first apply mindshot1 and mindshot2 for the bleed, then get on bike and wait for her to aggro. When she begins chasing me, I ride around on my bike until she starts to walk (avoiding all other NS). When she begins to walk, I get off my bike then just run around in a circle spamming headshot3 staying about 35m+ away from her. Took me 5 min to take down 1 elder.

After causing a bleed, this is where the fun starts. Keep concealing but start running in the opposite direction. Once you are out of range of the other NS start using strafe2. Keep running. If she keeps up with you, then hit the Parwan Nutricake and keep running, staying 64m away.

I'm a little confused... (not hard for me)

Aren't Elders 100% Resist to Energy? Just how are you damaging them? I've never hunted Elders because of this. I thought I had no chance as a M Rifleman/M Doc. A few tips would be helpful here.

Thanks

No, they don't have 100% resist to energy, I hunt em with t21's all the time. I think its 25% energy and blast.

OK my mistake then. The one time that I was out and "Examined" one I guess I was really seeing a Sentinel or one of the others. I just know that I left bike tracks in the dust when I saw the 100% Resist to Energy. LOL

Thanks for the reply

Spellweavers and Protectors have 100% resist to energy.

Elders have 25% resist to energy and blast.

I had this same problem doing a conceal on a Tusken Observer and I developed a method which has worked in the past if I'm feeling patient. As soon as a bleed was reached I would engage with strafe 2 or something of that nature and get the MOB to follow me. If I was lucky I would be able to lure the MOB away from it's spawning location and buddies. I would then kite and peace. The trick is to wait until the bleed isdone ticking. If you approach within 100m and the bleed is still active you'll get the MOB to agro you every time. Once the bleed has stopped rinse and repeat.I did this to get thesp** Lithtintainium **Rifle. I was using pikes at the time so I would try and lay a Disease DOT. The process work but to be successful you really have to be patient. There are easier ways to fight elders though too.

I think the key is in your situation is to wait for the bleed to stop. You should then be able to lay another conceal on her, as long as you have enough range to not upset her friends.

I only live when I can get her to start walking. If she continues to run. I either Get killed or she respawns in the same location with full health.

If I get her to walk I just find an open area and run in a big circle. She will fall.

I used to pull the bleed, and run tactic. Found her too often blowing my bike, or having to run away from hoards of other mobs in the process and lose her.

Someone mentioned to me using a 399 max dmg or lower T21 will greatly lessen the chance of a bleed, I've only got a 407 max, but it seems to be working, I'mgoing thru elders often only landing 1 bleed thru the whole thing. I've done a few now with no bleed at all. Could be just lucky, or maybe that tip I got was right.

Now as far as if she does geta bleed while concealing, jump on the bikeand run, then go back, but not too close you can't start attacking or even get very close again till her bleed goes away... seemsto take about 1 - 2 mins. Then you can start concealing again. Also watch out, sometimes she won't agro you, but your bike and you may not know it till your bike gets blown.

Getting just a little extrarifle speed drastically reduces the time it takes to concealan elder. Someone onanother post said 40 mins, I"ve got +6 rifle speed and I"m doin it in under 15.
