I am currently 2-0-3-4 in rifle and am interested in going to the krayt graveyard to kill some dragons. I have been there about 6 times before and only found a krayt dragon once, since it seems like a lot of the rifleman here hunt the krayts can they give me any tips on how to find them?

Fastest way is to take a ranger with tracking.

Otherwise, you just have to wander around till you find one. I know that sucks, but it pays off when you find a nest and can kill 10 without having tolooking anymore.

Where do you generally wander is the thing I think im looking in the wrong areas cause I have been in the canyon for an hour or more with a ranger and we found nothing.

Once a spawn point has been killed, it is usually 2 hours before the point will become active again.

A spawn point will respawn 3 times within minutes of when the critter has been killed. (Warning: Don't stand where the dragon spawned after you kill it.)

I've run all over the Krayt Graveyard, canyon, and outside the krayt graveyard for hours and not found any dragons. This is especially true during prime playing hours when everyone and his grandmother is camping the area to kill Krayts.

Best times to hunt:

1. During business/school hours.


2. Really early in the morning right after the servers reboot.

I take a patrol route in roughly a 1500-2000 meter radius from the opening canyon to the graveyard. It works pretty well for me. On a good day I can kill maybe 40 dragons by just using this patrol route.

So then you are using pets to tank? Logistically the only way I can see you guys doing it is with Grauls and ATSTs. Is that how you solo them?

yup unless u wanna use conceal shot for about 2 hours on one krayt. and this method probably not going to work next week when the CH nerf comes around. also the patch may bring aboutHUGE increases in krayt HAM....im talking 350K HAM for canyons.....some other ridiculous number for giants and ancients. im stocking up on tissues and pearls so hopefully i can make a fortune once its difficult to find +30 tissue let alone higher tissues.

I can't wait for the increase in HAM, finally something that will put up a good fight. Something worth going on aguild hunt for with groups of like 10+.

when i find one to solo i set up patrol points for my pet, acording to SOE a useless command, and tell the pet to attack the krayt once he has its attention i bleed it and tell the pet to patrol. this has the effect of making the krayt hit much less often giving me time to kill it.

i use a rancor or gurreck to tank for me when doing krayts.

Conceal shot all the way.. Doesn't take 2hrs as a Master that's for sure. T-21 fires a concealshot every 2 seconds for me. And that's plenty. about 3-5 minutes for a juvie.. With only the resists to worry about, I do pretty well... I like my pets so I don't send them against Krayts
