Specifically where to hunt solo? Seems I am a bother to my guild members who have been playing since SWG came out. I want to be self suffient......got some ok composite armor, got a good t21 rifle....but the price of buffs in order to hunt are making me extremely broke all the time.

Where can I hunt, makes some xp and make some decent money...... Any other tips are greatly appreciated.

Anything that you have to buff to hunt should pay for the buffs in the first mission.

All I can suggest for cash earning potential is to join a solo group, jantas on dantooine seem to be the current favorite (until they get a savage quenker-style HAM boost). You can quite easily earn 500k (@27k per mission) on a set of buffs. They may be a bit tricky at only master marksman level, so you may want to do quenkers for a while.

If you are hunting for non-terminal mobs (like nightsisters) simply grab one or 2 terminal missions before you head out and knock them over on the way. Buffs have always payed for themselves in my experience, solo or grouped, my only regret is that it took me nearly 2 weeks of slow hunting with a lot of downtime before I was introduced to them.

Anyway, in answer to your main question, I suggest Dantooine. On Valcyn you can nearly always find a near-full group operating out of the mining outpost. I'm assuming it's the same on most servers.

The other bonus to grouping is a substantial XP boost. If you can't get in a hunting group, group with a pet or droid (just remember to keep the droid powered).

First suggestion...find a new guild. Guilds are there to help each other out, and if you are a bother to them, then you need to move on. You didn't say what server you are on, but i know plenty of guilds on a majority of servers who are 100% into helpingthier members...whether masters or noobs.

As for hunting, once i got novice rifles i spent a few days on endor killing everything that moved. Good mission payouts and good xp. Maybe a little tough with lower level skills. But with a tank or buffs, you will make money and level fast. If you're on Chilastra, give me a tell. I will be more than happy to take you out.

What the....? That's so sad....

I agree with the poster who said to find a new guild. If someone in my guild needs help, they get it. That's what they exist for.

As for what to hunt; look around this forum(shouldn't take more than a few seconds) to find any post about the 'Geo caves'. That's one of the best places to get XP right now.

I personally don't use macros because if you find a group of people that are fun to hang around with, you'll find you get a ton of XP in a short amount of time. Why? Because there is a phenomenon that ocurs when you're having fun- time goes faster, lol. If you're on the Tempest server give me a holler ingame: Litus Darkheart.

i mastered rifleman in 3-4 days of Solo Missions in the Mining Outpost on Dantooine.

Get in a full grp, get buffed, and do quenker missions...the xp flies in

My first time doing rifleman I had sotred combat xp so i got upto abilities 3, if you have the stored combat xp it helps so much!

Then i did Sniping, ecause it sucks if you can't hit anything. Then i did counter-Sniping so i could use a DXR6b Disruptor Rifle (ery nice) then i did the rest.

for CM, find a tumbler or someone whose a CH to do the /tellPet trick thing. I got MCM in 1 day, but i was a Doc buffing but the crafting was the long part....i did regular Bio Effect Controlers, best xp per resource ratio and the components are cheap and easy to find

Dont get me wrong here guys. The guild I am in gave me the composite Armor I have, gave me a swoop, have hooked me up with some credits and gave me a house. But when it comes to hunting....I am far below them, lvl wiseand they seem like its not worth their effort. They are not a bad bunch of people, just....enveloped in their own world. As for hunting on Datoonie, the only thing I can kill there are lesser bols( our guild is based on Dat)\

My biggest problem hunting is kinda a combo between my armor and my mind. I take more damage then normal cause the armor is dmged, and I am ALWAYS seeming to loose my mind to quickly, even with entainer buffs. I constantly having to drink brandy....which also gets to be expensive.

Btw the server I am on is Gorath...{sp?} And I have started a TK based wookie on Bloodfin

There is more to a guild/pa than just hooking up new members. A good guild is almost like a family or really close group of friends. You are never inconvienced by them or not worth thier effort. Although it is cool to get free stuff and discounts for members, the "non-material" benifits are more rewarding with a good guild. And like I said before, if you ever end up on Chilastra, I know a great group of people that will help you out no matter what your level.

As for the mind problems...lol welcome to rifleman.

Yes please go CM/Rifle I've been dying to see anything but a Fencer/Pikeman template these days in PvP. Hunt on dant, quenkers are good, hurtonn huntresses are good as well. For CM, just use tumblers in CNET. As far as the guild. That's your choice.

You realize that you will not be able to master all 4 proffesions, I think you can do it if you drop master marksman down to 4004 Marksman.

Some pretty good advice on the whole but please please please stop telling new guys to learn medic,cm,doc by finding a tumbler. Learn to play the class first and maybe at later stages if u hit a sticky point in getting xp do a little non combat healing. Thats why when we need docs/cm's in the high level dungeons like DWB and corvette the so called healers are alot of the time complete sh1te because they dont know how to play their class properly because they use tumbling monkeys.

If i might add to original poster try get 1 or 2 good speed sliced laser rifles and maybe a damage sliced sparystick and buy a dozen crates of powerups. They dowear down alot faster using powerups but laser rifles are cheap to buy. Once you get a couple of accuracy and speed boxes behind u switch from quenks to piket longhorns (Females virtually no resist to energy) and u wil rake in the xp. Alternatively if u can get some high kinetic ubese as opposed to composite u dont need to be buffed to do quenks just pop a brandy every half hour and u wil be ok. Im a mon cal with maxed mind and low health and ham and have no probs with 73% kinetic ubese.

Confirmed. You can master CM and Rifleman and still have 4 skill points left.

No real help on rifleman from me, because it did still take me 5 hours to get to sniping 1

No, you guys want an awesoem tip for leveling rifleman? Gurks on lok...

There are tons and tons of natual lairs on lok. If you find one, its about 150,000 xp a lair. Just pick them off one at a time. If you are buffed/armored you wont even have to worry about damage. The only thing is that they dizzy+posture change, but the posture change is somewhat rare. Myself being a doc I dont have to worry about them. Plus on the natual lairs, sometimes a reclusive gurk king spawns and you can loot the hide and sell it lol..
