After a year and nine months I've decided to drop Master Ranger. As of last night I'm now 0044 and will slowly trim those down as I pursue a new profession. I've truly loved the profession and arranged my whole play style around it. I've been a member of the SWG website since it launched (5 years ago?). Since that time I had two professions that I wanted to be: Ranger and Bounty Hunter. When Beta 3 and Launch day came I decided on Ranger due to the fact I'd never played a MMORPG before and felt it would fit my experience better. I'm proud to say that I accomplished Master Ranger 99% solo, mostly before cities, vehicles and uber buffs (not that anyone who didn't is bad). This board has remained a very positive and supportive community through all our ups and downs. I'd like to thank all the long timers (Owen, Calc, JB, Bio, etc.) for the help you've given me (most of the time just from reading your posts). I have no complaints or regrets and wish you all the very best!
I'm going BH to see how that profession is. Like I said above it's one of the two professions I've always been interested in. At this time I have no real desire to hunt Jedi but you never know. Thanks and remember to have fun!

I doubt it at this time. I'm a Master Pistoleer so I would have to drop some of that to get Ranger if the pre-reqs stay the same. However, we'll see how the revamp goes as I might find some of it useful depending on my playstyle at that time.

Dont worry.
Ive dropped ranger 4 times in my swg experience. Each time it was to explore other areas of the game that i wanted to enjoy.
when you leave to have fun, thats a good reason. If ranger is not allowing you to have fun, then whats the point?

Frankly, hunting Jedi isn't where the real payoff in BH is nowadays, it's the loot. It's true, your 50k Jedi mission can turn into a 200k + payoff with the hiden bonuses, but the real money is in the loot, particularly things like CAs.
And NPCs do not send you hate tells afterwards.
So far Sio has hunted two Jedi, and didn't attack them at the end. I like to turn the BH/Jedi game upside down and do nothing but RP when I finally have the mark in my sights. So far the Jedi I've encountered have really enjoyed a change of pace from the usual l337 sp33k nonsense they run into.

im Ranger BH...atm not that effective but given te extra sp can get 4xxx Cm so should be an extremely enjoyable....tactical template
