I just made novice Ranger today.. From what i have tried so far, with novice Ranger, I can only trap CL 50 animals. Well, one on one, it will take forever to get 125k trapping xp and there are no groups who will huntcreatures that low. Any suggestions on how to expedite the trapping xp or do I just need to suck it up!!

It's a pain but there are things you can do. For instance find a couple people in that lvl range that wouldn't mind doing some hunting on kash. You can hit certain areas of the ryattt trail that have creatures in that range and with a couple people helping it should go by pretty quick. Or you can get some trapping ca's. +25 helps a little. Or you can get some trapping food. Can't remember the name of it though. That's all I can think of. Hope it helps.

The food is dweezle, it will help. I found that I could trap level 80ish creatures about half the time with dweezle and master scout.

Or you can grab 2 missions get a few crates of traps ready and go back and forth from mission to mission just throwing traps...the creatures will respawn if you drive out past 500m. They really gave rangers a hard time doing trapping since when in a group higher than you are traps dont work. Except using foods as above said.

It could be worse.

we could still have the survival requirements

and just to let you know, with +20 dweezel, you can hit level 70 +/- critters if you are in a CL 80 group.

Nail it with a stink bomb first, which will lower its state defense then hit it with more traps.

I redid the trapping line and after 2 days in a casual group (others were spinning) playing for 2-3 hrs, i got the entire ranger trapping line.

eat dweezel.. its good for you.

There's a macro that I use for trapping (since it's a horrible grind when you keep hours without lots of people logged on), but for the sake of the Ranger group as a whole, I'm not going to post it here. If you're interested, send me a PM.

Gragh... I like using Scouting XP sooo much better than sitting around in a camp. If I just wanted to sit and do nothing, I'd become an Artisan.

This is horrible! I return to find my new title on the forum is "Jedi". What's up with that? If they wanted to confer that I'm rare and learned, they'd make my title RANGER. and then make it camo colored.

I am currently grinding ranger trapping and one of the ways I have found that works is to get missions on my own (not in a group) and then get someone at a higher CL to tag along and help when I get in trouble. It has worked and I have meet new players in the process. LOL
