Thread: Finished Jedi...now on to the real fun...Professional hunter...suggestions?
Well, Rikyy is glowy, and in fact has a box of Travel FS now. I plan on unlocking a branch of FS each phase, and exchanging combat XP for FS XP up to the point where I can go the whole branch. I'm not doing any training though, as I refuse to give up Master Ranger one second before I 'have to' and don't want to lose the Master Rifleman either. But right around 15 weeks from now, Rikyy will cease being a Ranger and will start waggling his glow-stick. Hopefully it won't take too long before his younger brother is able to follow in his footsteps, becoming a new MR/MR.
I'll admit I'm doing the Jedi thing just because I think for me it's part and parcel with the whole 'feel' of the Star Wars universe. I will not, however, ever be one of those PITA Jeeedie who stand in front of the Theed Starport comparing the length of their sabers.
Actually, whenever I can finally start my second character, instead of making him an Impy like Rikyy, I'll probably go the route of the Antarian Rangers.
Anyway, it's very nice to hear you stating that you recognize that playing your Ranger can be more satisfying than saber-waving.

well me persoanlly, i find that as a master Rnager/Master Rifles, i can get enough contacts and even long term contracts without having a vendor. plus this way you can haggle and barter, which is great fun.![]()

This is what I am looking for...now that I don't have to worry about being a jedi I can move on to do fun things and I was having a blast today just hunting around. I am rally starting to love being a ranger.
See SOE sells Jedi, but the true SWGer knows Ranger is where the fun is.

You don't need a vendor. As others have mentioned, you eventually build up a list of reliable contacts, and there's always the trade forums. If you have a large stack of high quality organics, it's not hard to find a buyer. After time, you'll find that you have a circle of preferred buyers that you like dealing with. I've never had a vendor, nor have I ever sold any organics on the bazaar. Better to put those artisan points into more combat skills, or mastering Ranger.

Welcome to the club. I too spent the last year grinding out a powers jedi, just to realize once done, that I'm bored as all hell, and started playing my Ranger "alt" 90% of the time. For kicks once in a while I even go out cloaked and camo'd on my Jedi and milk Pikets and harvest eggs. Who knew ranger was the endgame?
LOL, what an encouraging post. That's great to hear, man.

I actually have a blast with powers (ha...pun intended), but I wanted something fun to do when I get tired of running my jedi all day....something that I could truly swap with myjedi and still have the same amount of fun. Ranger does this for me
