So what is the largest CL gap between you and a critter that you have solo'd?

I managed to solo a CL75 Kliknik whilst I was CL21 (Using pop tart obviously)

Anybody done better than that a 54 gap?

my level: 54

creature level: 90

creature: Grand Krayt Dragon

How had imperial faction on and ran for the imperials that were bunkered down. Still got no loot but I did have fun killing it.

I'm going to be so happy when the p-dart gets fixed.

I don't like the direction where some of these posts have been going. I don't remember the Ranger forums being so show-off oriented.

I resent that I wasn't showing off, was just curious. They're getting fixed in pub 20 so whats the problem.

No flames intended, at least not on my part. I'm just saying, the permaroot thing makes killing creatures pretty darn easy. I'm not finger-pointing, either-- I've killed plenty of permarooted creatures because, well, I'm used to hunting with p-darts. They've been a part of my arsenal for a long time. Just be careful and don't come to rely on the permaroot. Anyway, hunting is much more fun when there's a chance you'll get eaten by some big, toothy monster.

I never really used p-darts, mainly used mesh, when it worked and sonic when it was safe to use solo (without conning everything in sight). I think now though even after pub20 I'll still be using them. If they fix mesh amybe that will give a root long enough to get some of the creatures energy off.

I like the bugged p-darts, makes things easy, but as you say it takes away the fear and fun of being a Ranger....

Well one time on LOK I solo'ed a CL435 Nym Patrol.

He hit me for 15,000 points of damage and change and one shot me.

No one else in the group was willing to shoot the Nym patrol.

Oh I did not kill the nym but I solo'ed it.

But i didnt root it with the p-dart.(the other ones didnt go off and I kept losing line of site) I rooted it with the stopping shot. the stormtroopers got the kill but i helped. I will admit that i have used the bug...but I use my other traps first before ever throwing the second one. Now that the fix is comming I find that I am not using them as much.

I had to try it at least once though.

I was surprised that the first one hit..since my trapping mod is only up to +70 and the creature was CL 90.
