Thread: New Ranger Template Guide

Ok guys, Dyrwen highlighted issues we have with the old template guide in that its well out of date. Its a nice resource to have for new to the profession players aswell as those experienced rangers wanting a change so lets start a fresh and make a post-cu guide.


Im heading to TC now and grabbing stats on master ranger templates combined with rifleman/carb/pistoleer/BH and will start to get others once i have those nailed down. What i need is opinions on each template with + points and - points. If any of you have any experience in these profession templates then dont hessitate to pass on your experiences.

I use a hybrid template. I went with Pistolier 4/0/0/4, BH 0/3/4/0. Mods are


GRA: +65


GRS: +30


MD: +125


RD: +110


Pistol Acc: +40


Pistol Def: +30


Pistol Speed: +45


Low accuracy is by far the weak point with this temp. Speed is good (I only use pistols), defenses are okay (for a template that includes Master Ranger), and the variey of specials is great. Improved critical and improved body shot for damage, Improved underhand for KD, improved confusion for dizzy/stun and warning shot to lower defense, improved stopping shot to root... all I'm missing is a snare, but the p-dart takes care of that if I'm fighting a creature. Now that the permaroot is gone, solo gorax hunting is fun and challenging again.
