Thread: question for rangers with high creature knowledge (master opinion especially appreciated)
i'm a bio-engineer and thinking about going ranger. the thing is, i'm wondering how much info about creatures you can discover from high creature knowledge. can you discover any of theset things:
1) creatrue size: e.g. scrawny, medium, fat 'n' healthy
2) dna quality
3) hide/meat/bone quality BEFORE harvesting
4) hide/met/bone number BEFORE harvesting
if i could discover these, ranger would be very useful for me as I could discover the potential worth of a fight before entering it.

I'm currently a novice ranger with 1 level in Field Bioscience (Knowledge/harvesting).
When I examine a creature I see its basic stats, resource type (IE : Hide_bristley, meat_herbivore) and a quantity of the hide/meat displayed. I do not know if it tells DNA quality or anything at the higher levels.
I'm sorry (VERY sorry) to say we can see none of these things. Its very frustrating, hopefully this will be fixed in the future. At Master ranger i gained the ability to see damage a creature does. Woop-de-fricken-do. Like i could get attacked by it and find out myself that way ![]()
Ray,
Master Ranger
With Ranger Hunting 4
you see-
All resistances, all weekness's, special attacks 1-2, what you can harvest, how much it will harvest, its attack bonus/speed? *its just says attack .24 for example*, its ferrocity, killer, and effectiveness.
Not sure what it adds with Master Ranger's +5 or 10 creature knowledge. I'll post it when i get it in a few days.
