Thread: my list

I saw some of these already and read some posts for quite a while and gave up. This is my list of things that I think are wrong (it's short) and maybe the ways to fix it.

1) I need money. I'm tired of being broke. I have an artisan friend who made ~100K profit, today. Yes folks, Today. Hesaid that 20K might go into the harvesters but the rest was his....I've never had more than 40K at one time.

I like the idea of placing a harvester in a dangerous place for extra cash but I'm a ranger. I should be able to, as a common denominator, sell my organics so that they are useful. I think we could possibly make food a need instead of a buff. If we did this then we would see many more chefs and they would be coming to us for the meats. I don't even know a chef. We could kill two birds with one stone there.

Maybe have Ranger mission terminals, similar to the Bounty Hunter terminals, that allow us to go out and bring down a certain tough creature for some really decent money. Not large mobs of creatures, all the time. I don't want easy missions for lots of loot...I want Ranger duties that make money.

2) As a hunter, I should either be able to pull one mob out of a group, or...I should have some type of kill shot that sometimes works on hard animals but has a good chance of taking down weak ones...we could make this "kill shot" drain the stat pool BIG TIME in order to keep people from exploiting.

A hunter does not usually shoot into a group of animals that he knows will come after him all at once, yet we are forced to in order to make decent cash...

3) As for the tracking...I don't think it's possible because of a lot of the spawning is dynamic, wouldn't make much sense. It's a bit too EQ for me anyway.

4) Please, an extra skill or content besides just : +this +that. Ranger is mostly just scout but a bit more efficient. I'm not sure what the answer is here.

P.S. #1 is the biggest issue on here. When the time comes that we can actually take mounts or fly ships then we rangers (and some others) are going to be left behind as the rich artisans make ships, fly themand rake in tons ofcash in yet another way. Even if they add a class to do this, the new classwill be like an extension of the artisans. You see the problem is that everyone needs/wantsartisans but no one _needs_ a ranger for much of anything, except a cool camp.

I could be dead wrong about how that whole ship thing will go, but the truth remains, that there will be a gigantic monetary void between the artisans and the rest of us, especially as the game matures...

Hmm, I really like the idea of lures to pull creatures away from the bunch...

Traps should be setable and spring remotely. THEY should be the lure. You should also be able to CAPTURE creatures and BE's need them to "template" from and CH. A scout should not have such a trap or there would be no point for a CH to have to take it, WHICH WOULD HELP TO NERF CH's.

Ave: everyone is a Scout on our server and the Bazaar is FLOODED with hides. I stopped selling them. I'm switching to meat now for the spice/stimpack makers.
