Thread: A Call to Master Rangers!
Hello...well, I just wanted to drop a quick message to say, "I made it!" and wanted to know who esle was out there? ![]()
I'd like to say I'm quite pleased with the profession (yes, there are a few tweaks/improvements to be made), and on account of the great suggestions on this forum, I see a very promising future for the ones of us seeking to take time to Master the profession. I've noticed the level of discussion here and the suggestions are well-balanced and thought out, much more so than some of the complaining going on in other profession forums. I for one would like to thank the ones contributing, as your efforts will benefit us all.
To the Developers - Every time I received a new camp kit you did not fail to impress. The anticipation after receiving a new kit was just as a child's on Christmas Eve, I'd immediately run out and plop down a camp just to see what it would look like (I'm sure we've all done this :-), and I was amazed by the visuals each and every time, you surpassed my wildest expectation many times over. How many of you plop down the say the normal Field Base Camp (Front lvl II) just to get the reactions of other players? Well, wait till you get the High Tech...I don't think I can type here the reactions of some players! Hey, I have my own little trees and a satellite dish (though, it seems to be jammed by the impire or something...government oversight?...because I'm not getting any reception) - hehe ![]()
Ok, now I do have one simple/quick/easy request (throw me a fricken bone here, I'm the boss, I need the info...this is sort of like my request for sharks with laser beams on their heads, but much more practical!). Camps created at high level Fronteiring (say, start at Front lvl III, since a new camp kit is not awarded) should heal Battle Fatigue - something to further distinguish our camps from those of other professions.
Alright, this is all I have to say...but, I'd like to get a "roll call" of the Masters out there...judging by the quality of discussion out there, I'd reason to say we have enormous potential within this profession on account of the individuals playing it. Thanks guys, your suggestions will benefit us all in the end! ![]()
And if any of you out there on RADIANT need any training, look me up!

Apparat,
I know the feeling I do the same. But I am still finishing up master scout right now. Do you have any screenshots you can throw up of the new camps I am dying to see what they look like.

I'm going to say NAY to going Master Ranger until they fix the Wayfaring line.... who cares if you can crawl prone with speed... and /maskscent skill does jack with more experience... its a waste of 12 skill points right now...
I'll take everything else in Ranger but this line...

Have had all Ranger skills at IV except Frontiering (ya, that's a shock!) for about four days now. This happening without running camo through red mobs on lok or any other "mad xp" crazes. Just hack and slash and harvest, so it definitely is doable. Although I'm not sure when I'll ever make Master Ranger at the rate it's going now. It seems everyday this week, I'm getting less and less survival xp for my camps. For example, I ate a death and hit the cantina to heal my battle fatigue, when out and set up a HQ camp, danced for a while healing up my mind wounds and then patched myself up with camp-heal and /tendwound. After all that and 25 minutes later I got all of 600 survival xp ![]()
I throw up a basic camp to sit and make some traps and get 200 survival xp in under 5 minutes. I try that with a HQ camp and all of 80 survival xp. Right now I'm just gonna take the camp xp when I get it instead of reading through a novel and just have fun and enjoy the rest of the game, hoping they fix the problems with the Ranger profession.
Gratz on Master Ranger, that was a long haul!
Not quite master yet, **edit** survival XP is holding me back, Im about 1/3 of the way to Frontiering 3, I have apprentice XP capped and everything. It is quite a fun profession, there are just things that need ironing out.
