I know, surveying is not for everyone. But you don't have to sit there all day surveying if you have some money to invest. And because the game is new, there arent many good surveyors out there, which means certain resources are hard to come by in the market. Rangers are well suited in the wilderness, and I plan on becoming a master ranger, which is why I thought of posting this here. I hope Im not repeating anything soemthing else has already posted.

Surveying is not a "carebear" activity. Although it involves no blood, you will be a business man, and the most costly investment is those few artisan points you'll need... and then money. But aresource IS a credit. You just have to know how to make it one.

Harvestig CAN be lucrative... you just need to know what to look for and where to look.

I wont go over the basics here, ill go straight to the important issues.

1:Supply and demand. The first law of economics. Roleplay. Have fun as a greedy businessman. Someone says "You must be joking, ten creds a unit?!" reply "hey im just a businessman no offence."

But I still dont usually charge anything for more than 10 credits a unit. Well sometimes I do. Know the market, find whats rare and sell it.

2:Know what they need. Look for it. Go to the distant planets, even talus sometimes has the goods.

3:Harvest efficiently. Beware resource turnovers, as they happen often and unpredictably. Buy harvesters cheap. Find cheap energy with wind collectors. And plant them in rich environment close to your harvestors, easier said than done

4:Sell Bulk. But if its something you know you can get 10 credits a piece, than dont sell more than 300 units for 3000. You dont have to, better for me.

5:Find the markets. Whats pletiful and cheap on naboo might be rare and expensive on tattooine. Travel. Use the galaxy search option on the bazaar.

6: Know the crafters. Send them an email. If its a weaponsmith and you have link steel aluminum, tell them you have bulk and am willing to give a discount if they buy more than 10k. But you dont need to negotiate. If yout tell them 7 for 1 and they say theyll buy it all for 6 for one, tell them to wait a second and then say sorry no. BUt dont get them angry. Always be fair. Never overcharge, or cheat anyone.

7:Use your locating devices smart. Plant the harvestorsin the highest density area. Consider selling coordinates, or if you wanna make friends, give it away for free.

8: Be where the competition isnt and for lords sake, dont name your harvestor after the resource. Thats silly as you are giving it away.

Not trying to sound like a know it all, im no expert, just a bored guy WHO'S ALWAYS WAITING FOR THE SERVERS TO LOAD...
