i today discovered searching lairs for the first time.is this a new adittion or was it already in the game?

And what do you do with the living sample you find ?

the description does say artisan can do something with it but is that all or does a BE also have use for this sample's?

I believe Chef's can use the eggs for meals, etc.

The ability has been available for a while now.

A searcher has a chance of locating either eggs or creature sample.

• The eggs can be sold on the bazaar if you have a sufficient stack size. Chefs purchase them.


• The Samples are currently used to create novelty effects items. Not much market for those.

I destroy the Samples I receive, in favor of the eggs.

I think BEs can use the eggs too.

Personally, I quit searching lairs, as the eggs don't sell for that much and I got tired of having to destroy the creature samples as no one wanted them. It's one of those nice things we can do but who really cares kinda things.

Odd, my egg stacks sell for 20 cred / unit...

Though the stack does have to be at least a 100 before I will put it on the market.

Yes, be sure to gather a stack of at least 100 before trying to sell them. The BE in my guild is always happy to buy them from me.

I always give the eggs to our aspiring master chef in our guild. As far as the samples, I've been making them into creature habitats and giving them to dancers and musicians to use in their shows. Also, we have a big grand opening coming up soon and I made a ton of them to be handed out as party favors.
