why if you fight after you made a camp ,the camp is useless ?

would it not be better to let the time decide when your camp stops working and maybe a distance too ,so lets say you are 500m from the camp, the camp stops working.

it makes no sence at all that after you fight you have to make the camp again.

I have so much extra crap hides/bones that i used my fac to make 75 fb to use to grind, and 100singlecamps to bring pets in and heal at while i solo. ( i actually bought the hide bones for the fb cuz it was really cheap on the bazaar, was less than 3cu so i spent like 6k on those)

No, I see his point. I've often gone on a guild hunt, set up camp, and then wished it would stay active during combat. It would seem to me that a skilled woodsman-type person should be able to make a camp that would allow you to stay in a certain spawn area, kill some things in a reasonable radius, then return to heal/hang out/craft traps. Doesn't that sound like a more realistic and practicaluse forour high tech camps? More of a temporary hunting lodge? I think so anyway...

Oh well, if reality was my beef then I would have to ask how we can make concrete, chess tables, crafting stations, laser perimeters, etc. out of some hide/bone/metal in 30 seconds. ??

EXAGGERATION ALERT!

Anyway, yes the camp disbanding problem is old and needs to be addressed by the dev's, do a search for the topic and read the old threads...

Agreed. I was master ranger before tracking went in and the camp disband issue is still a bit of an incovenience and needs some review.

That said, however, I just carry a small generic house with me and plop that up for my group. They need to tip me 3K (for redeeding) and we have a place to sit AFK for a break and/or get some BF fixed up.

All the tools are there but my pack is getting heavy lately - haha.

Most Rangers agree on this point.

We don't know the full extent of GreenMarine's camping system revamp yet...

  • Hopefully once he releases more information on the new camp types, this problem will be addressed (most likely with new camp types, such as the Hunting Blind).

Odd...I only notice this when I fight close by my campsites. I frequently set up a HTFB about 100m (estimated) away from where we'll be hunting for the people who need to heal/craft/rest while the rest of us go out and shoot things. As long as I'm not out of the camp for a really long time, and as long as I don't get into combat close to the campsite, it doesn't disband. Even if it does disband, I've sat in them and continued to be able to heal wounds. I just didn't have a warm fire to keep me company.
